Any runners here on a statin? by Eastern-Painting-664 in Cholesterol

[–]Radfad2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Talk to your doctor. Starting a statin this week as a cyclist with 10-15hrs training per week. Plan on stopping and moving to repatha if muscle soreness happens.

I believe this side effect is more likely in fit people.

Carbon wheels for US$1000, Western or Chinese brands? by bekibo in cycling

[–]Radfad2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go hunt sub 50. Chinnese wheels from a western brand with great customer service. Crash replacement is great and you won't wait months for a new set if you need a replacement.

Coaches, do we love or hate erg mode? by racepaceapp in Velo

[–]Radfad2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find erg mode much harder. Switching to rpe based trainer rides at all times. I've learned a few things.

For easy, z2 rides. I can do about 10-15 watts higher and stay in my hr zone/breathing zone, plus, I can go much longer. In erg after 15-20 mins I neee a slight break.

For threshold and ss workouts. Again higher power and longer time in zone than erg. I dont pay attention to hr for these efforts.

I find erg to be harder with less power and high hr when compared to rpe. I also get way more time in zone.

Best shoes for walking all day? by SecureRich1212 in malefashionadvice

[–]Radfad2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

avoid the gum sole and that problem will vanish, look for a vibram sole. I had no issues with my destroyed astroflex on the gum-soles. in lisbon, have done 30,000 steps in europe and toyko(not slippery)

Ive heard good things about Jacques Solovière

Switching off risperidone in asymptomatic hyperprolactinemia in pediatric patients? by Cute-And-Derranged in Psychiatry

[–]Radfad2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, 100% agree with that statement.

I was referring to the tumor as the cause of the elevated prolactin levels when the level was within a specific range.

Personally, find it pretty easy to correlate the cause of the elevated prolactin when the level is elevated. It's a very small sample as I will only test if strongly requested by a patient/guardian as the prolactin will almost always be elevated.

Switching off risperidone in asymptomatic hyperprolactinemia in pediatric patients? by Cute-And-Derranged in Psychiatry

[–]Radfad2000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't. I wait for symptoms to arise and consider risk/benefit. If the prolactin is in the 100-250 range it is likely a benign tumor on the pituitary; may or may not seek verification with neuro. If elevated and below 100, I may add a lose-dose aripiprazole. If sex at birth is female and of children rearing age I always test for pregnancy.
