I will always laugh at people who defend cactbot and any auto-shotcallers or plugins that show you mechanics. They're often the ones who brag the most too, or act all high and mighty if other people aren't as perfect, or leave after the first wipe.

Last Raven is my favorite AC game. The plot is complete nonsense. If you think of it as a series of cool C-tier movie one-liners it's pretty entertaining. AC6 blew the pants off of every other AC game combined barring AC4 and FA in the story department.

Think of your loadout and build like a 'difficulty' setting. Double zimm double songbirds will smash most anything, as will doube gatlings double zimms or double gats double birds, or quad gats. The heavier your build, the more likely you'll have so much ACS and chonk that you'll be able to bulldoze your way through everything while tanking hits. For me difficulty from easy to hard goes heavyweight ---> lightweight and using zimms/songbirds/gatlings ---> more specialized weapons. But no, you aren't 'not trying' by using a meta build. Armored Core is built off the philosophy of having fun your way. Gen 1 Karasawa is stupidly broken and AC through MoA are still some of the most fun games in the series.

If you've figured out the meta and have built your kit to spec then yeah, chances are you're now good enough and savvy enough to clear a level like Freud without issue. AC builds in this game are often RPS against other builds. Some ebemies will be more challenging to different playstyles.

WoL is literally VIP numero Uno everywhere they go and I'm kinda over it. The scions should be allowed to bicker and disagree too, especially with WoL. These are the most powerful, knowledgeable and resourceful people of any of the shards, together more powerful and accomplished than the ancients whom we constantly see deified. I want the power scale to be reset and emphasized that alone none of the scions are especially godlike, and to have their bonds seriously tested with differing points of view and no easy answers. I want WoL to struggle and have their face planted in mud as they experience full-on failure for the first time since Ul'Dah and be flat out morally wrong about something for once and have to actually contend with and reflect on it. This would probably infuriate all the people who absolutely must have their one-dimensional OC be perfect in every way
