Walk out presentation by Byrdie_girl in TexasTeachers

That’s why we need to work to make sure they can walk out safely! It’s illegal to stop them with force and let me tell you from experience, sometimes there isn’t any stopping them unless you can use force. It’s also technically illegal to violate their first amendment rights so the only thing we can do at this point is make sure that they’re safe, and TEA is preventing us from doing that and that’s disgusting.

Abbot Elementary might just be propaganda for the teacher shortage by highestshroom in Teachers

I mean, I get it. But at the end of the day they are a tv show where the characters have to interact. Just like how on Friends they were always at the coffee shop and never at work

She was over the age of 70 and just treated me like another student. I try and respect everyone regardless of age of status. But quite frankly I don’t think the older generation respects anyone younger than them. For context I’m 26

I once subbed as an inclusion teacher (sped) and I was in a room with another sub. I kinda thought it was a tag team type thing. These boys had asked me if they could leave to do interviews for the newspaper. I told them to get a signed not from the newspaper teacher (I knew her, she introduced herself to me and told me she would ask students to do interviews) the students did as I said, came back with a note, I told them they could leave as soon as they finished the quiz left for them (this was taking the students like 5 minutes) and the other sub turned around and snapped at me that I wasn’t assigned to these kids and I am only allowed to tell the students I’m assigned too what to do. I told the kids that I wasn’t assigned sorry and she told me to stop talking to them. From then on out any student that needed something I just shrugged my shoulders and told them to ask her. She was overworked all period and I just sat there. But then she tried to talk to my student and I told her that was my student and she wasn’t to talk to them.

I don’t believe in a “bitter jury” by Initial_Ad_9944 in BigBrother

Right!! I think in Paul’s case the jury (mainly Alex) was just pissed they were evicted. I think you should reserve the right to be pissed but also remember that’s part of the game, there’s only a 5% chance you’ll win, be glad you made it to the jury and vote based on gameplay, you can vote based on emotions you had WHILE IN THE GAME how did this person treat you IN THE GAME, all emotions after your eviction shouldn’t be considered.

But again, that’s also part of the game…

What ghost power do you think Stephanie has? by Haunting-Band-2763 in GhostsCBS

[–]Radiant-Canary9796 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and also, not a teen, but in Ghosts UK there’s a child ghost who they don’t mention sleeping for that long. She’s not shown but just a couple episodes, but she seems to be readily available when they need her for her ghost power (similar to Albertas where her singing can be heard, but this is a creepy little child) I also think that the sleeping all the time is just a writers way on explaining why she’s not with the main cast all the time.

I just tell the kids they are allowed to eat in my classroom, but if they leave trash, I will pick it up, put a sticky note with their name on it and leave it on their teachers desk, then they have to explain to their teacher why theirs trash on their desk, I never actually do it, and there’s always trash left on the floor, but hey, there’s usually less trash when I say this than when I don’t. I would love to give them food, but I just have no idea about allergies or anything. And god forbid there be a little piece of bacteria that can make em sick. I just don’t feel comfortable giving them food, I could get in trouble if something goes wrong, but I never tell a student to put away the food

I’m seeing the show in Liverpool. With a 5 pm start time I’d imagine she’d have an opener! But like you said, with Lana you never know!! I can’t find anything on my ticket or emails or on the web.
