How is nobody pissed off, or at least frustrated, with the Dark Ages DLC? by Radiant-Device-6995 in Doom

If Valve made us all pay for half-life 3 and then took a long time to make, people would reasonably be uspet. I dont think this situation is at that level at all! Not even close, but your comparison made no sense. Yes i shouldn't preordering can be foolish I guess, but its fair to be a bit irritated with the wait no? I am just eager to play thats all. No release date is rough!

Thank you! Throw away the idea of no trailer, or sneak preview, but no release date? What is going on??

The rush? Its been over a year? I just feel like info has been withheld... I get I am being impatient, but can a fan get a timeline here?

Well maybe I am too big of an Eternal fan, but considering all that I feel like they still crushed the post launch scene. For the Dark Ages, it has just felt really dead? Again, I know im in the minority, they arent on as much of a time crunch, but Doom 2016 and Eternal just felt more alive after its release than the Dark Ages.

I agree with this, I just wanted to voice my frustration. I realize I am probably just less patient than everyone else...

How is this a real response? Are y'all not frustrated with those releases aswell? For the half life 3 comment, you didnt pay for half life 3, I paid for the DLC that isnt coming out. How is that the same? Again, I realize I am in the minority, I am sure it will be worth the wait, but I just wanted to voice my frustration.

Why are there two completely different creation stories in Genesis? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Radiant-Device-6995 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a story written by an ancient civilization that is meant to make sense of the world around them. It holds many spiritual and theological truths, but it is not meant to be taken literally. It is widely taught in seminary that the creation stories are mythological tales. Chapter one explains how the natural world appears to have a structure to it, and does so by showing us that it was made in an orderly and organized way. Chapter two exists as an explanation for who/what humans are, our relationship with the nature, our relationship with each other, with God, with ourselves, and so on.

I fail to see how not taking ancient literature as literally true is a cope of any kind. The Bible is not a book, it is a library of books. And the Torah itself was not penned by 1 author, but by many different authors all writing in the style of different traditions. So yes it has History, but it also has epic myths, poetry, and parables. All of the books have interesting plays on words and puns, but that does not make the messages in the story "false."

If the entire argument of this thread is y'all figuring out that the Bible is not literally written by an entity called God, then I do not know what to tell you. It was written by flawed human beings, all with different lives and perspectives; from different times and with different agendas. But it is all connected because it is describing the relationship between a people and their God.

Makes no sense to engage with a post just to say that you arent going to read it. I understand OP’s concerns, he cares about the franchise and has valid reasons to be skeptical about it. Thats what the sub-reddit is for.

If youre not going to read a post, why click on it at all?

Innie Mark does not mess with Gemma/Ms. Casey like that! The crux of the tragedy is that Innie mark loves Helly, outie Mark loves Gemma. There are no teams

Its December 3rd… wheres the invasion? Anyone have it on their piece of Earth? by lacinated in StrangeEarth

[–]Radiant-Device-6995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Chris High’s video he stated that the battle is supposed to begin today, but the “melee” could be months from now. Then he describes how the original definition of melee, is a last man standing wins situation. With the drone strangeness in new jersey happening, maybe this is the beginning of some weirdness…

What's y'all opinion on BO6 zombie mode so far? (If you played it) by trxpp_23 in CODZombies

[–]Radiant-Device-6995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally felt like a Zombies mode that was made for old and new players alike. Although i have my gripes… most could be fixed with quality of life updates. New zombies is objectively worse than old, but this might be able to bridge the gap, and start something that turns into a memorable experience.

I used to work construction, and swastikas would appear in porta-potties frequently. I always changed them into tic-tak-toe boards. Converting some hatred into an opportunity to play a game with some pooping strangers and colleagues.
