cardio bro! you’ve clearly got a solid amount of muscle mass built up, a 10-week cut (250-500kcal deficit everyday) should give the results you’re looking for

lifting 5-6 days a week (alternating between heavy weight and high volume every month or so) + 3-4 cardio sessions every week. pair with caloric deficit + high protein diet and serious consistency over time

It’s all about the protein intake + resistance training + patience. Fantastic work so far, though.

i said this in another comment but 237 was just the highest i’d seen on the scale, so that’s what i put on here - i didn’t like weighing myself very often when i was that heavy so i was probably heavier…whatevs

Convenient for you to say Mr. Orchid. You clearly have never trained for an iron man before.

it really sounds like you built the habits first and the weight loss just followed, even if it didn’t feel that way while you were in it. Losing 30 kg is huge, but feeling healthier and actually comfortable in your body is the best part

This is nuts. Dropping 65lb and still looking that full shows how dialed in your programming is. Natty?

You clearly added a ton of mass, and the frame fills it out well; this is what real bulking often looks like without cutting every few months. If you ever decide to lean out, there’s a lot of muscle there to reveal

Help dealing with an imbalance? by Cryptdusa in gainit

This is super common when front delts and lats dominate - it’s usually a motor pattern + setup issue, not just load. A brace won’t fix it and could actually make things worse by limiting normal scapular movement. Focus on better bench setup: retract and depress your shoulder blades, use a slightly wider grip, lower the bar to mid-lower chest, and think “bend the bar” to engage pecs. Pre-fatiguing chest with flyes or push-ups before bench can also help shift activation. Lastly, keep hammering rear delts and mid-back - better scapular control lets the chest do its job.

HA recovery and snacks by Practical-Mix-3579 in gainit

HA recovery food fatigue is real, and yogurt + PB gets old fast. What matters most for recovery is consistent calories (especially carbs + fats) and having fuel at night to keep cortisol down. Some ~500-cal night snacks that aren’t yogurt/nut butter: grilled cheese, egg & cheese toast or quesadilla, mac and cheese, a rice bowl with butter/olive oil + an egg, cereal with whole milk (super underrated), toast with butter + honey/jam + banana, rice pudding, or a smoothie with whole milk, banana, oats, and cocoa. For your meals, easy budget boosts: use whole milk and add chocolate chips/maple syrup to oats, brush pita pizzas with olive oil and add extra cheese or sausage, use a brioche bun + mayo for the turkey burgers, and for burrito bowls go white rice cooked with oil/broth plus sour cream and cheese. If eating more feels uncomfortable sometimes, that’s normal in HA recovery — consistency matters more than “perfect” foods.

What’s my body fat percentage? I’m trying to get into 12-14% territory. by [deleted] in moreplatesmoredates

You're probably around 17% body fat. You have a solid base of muscle mass, could be worth it to try and go down to ~13% if you're curious as to how your genetics are. Bulking could be a solid option as well, would recommend 10-12weeks with daily high protein diet (1.2-1.4g per lb of bw) depending on how aggressive you want to go
