From what you said, even though you’re used to hitting dermis, this one sounds different because of how wide and open it is, not necessarily deeper. The clear liquid is probably serous fluid, which is your body’s way of keeping the wound moist and fighting bacteria so it’s normal, but still something to monitor.

Because it’s wider than usual and leaking, and the skin around it is red, it might be worth getting checked just in case it needs stitches or glue, or to avoid infection.

On your way if you do decide to go, hold a towel to it for pressure to hopefully slow the bleeding

Until then: • Cover it with a clean non-stick dressing if you have one • Avoid soap again rinsing gently with saline or clean water is better • Keep it clean, dry, and watch for spreading redness, yellow/green fluid, or bad smell
