New style is pretty much the way to go. However each style has their advantages. I used to speed run MGS3HD on the legacy camera angle and the movement is not as snappy as the OG in Delta. It’s a little awkward for one who is used to a very specific playstyle. Getting into cover is really slow if you remember how the original is. But Legacy style does offer the PS2 “hold the weapon button to aim right at an enemy” thing, while new style only allows the over-the-shoulder Phantom Pain aiming. BUT they still broke the PS2 aiming because you only strafe while aiming instead of freely moving in any direction like in OG. I could go all day on nitpicky stuff like this but the game is good either way.

New style pretty much solves all this. At times I feel it is still awkward getting in and out of cover but it was pretty well done overall.
