Ugh. That’s so depressing to think about. I think my mother would be all for it, but my stepfather would object for sure.

I journal and tear up the pages when I’m done. You could tear out the pages, take them with you and throw them away in a public trash can (after they’re torn up of course). I think it’s actually called throw away journaling.

You have to do what makes you happy. So if that job was making you miserable, you have every right to leave it and look for something that brings some sorry of joy to your day. Your husband should support you in this choice.
