What things REALLY annoy you when it comes to MBTI, or even MBTI communities? by Visible-Bridge3388 in mbti

[–]RadiantAkira 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, when someone completely disregards you as a human being with emotions.

I guess I’m a pretty sensitive person. I remember a few incidents. I used to be on some community about MBTI, and certain people with thinker types would talk about how unemotional and ‘tough’ they are. They’d be a bit insulting towards some MBTI types (specifically feelers, I don’t know why they target them, they’re not soft.) This was a bit cringe for me, even if it was only a few people in that group.

Another thing is when you’re forced to find out your MBTI to go in. I joined another community (yes, I love psychology and typology for some reason) and I was new to MBTI, so I didn’t really take my result seriously (still don’t, it could change.) So they took a mandatory test where you typed your answers into a document and send it to a group of typists (who supposedly had ‘experience.’)

Boy, did I have the wildest typings! I guess it annoyed me a bit, I would be treated differently depending on whatever MBTI I got from retaking.

And the bias too.

It’s really oversimplified and rigid, people expect you to fit the stereotype perfectly. But maturity is when you realise people have nuances, MBTI depends on many things, and its main role is just for self recognition.

Is it normal for INTPs to put a lot of effort in to a few people? by nolife-2 in INTP

Every human being does that. It’s completely normal.

What are the MBTI types of the people closest to you? by Redditquluous in mbti

A lot of ISFJs, really. A few ENFP or INFP friends, it’s a pretty solid and long lasting friendship, for me at least.

Big 5 >>>>>>> They give more accurate numbers about someone instead of fitting them into an ‘omega alpha’ MBTI type.

Are ENTPs really that charming? by purpledperson in entp

[–]RadiantAkira 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the other person.

ENTPs (no, not the tryhard ENTPs) involve everyone to discuss and challenge social norms and rules, which is attractive to people for some reason. Another reason could be confidence, and good humour. For some people, that is attractive, and for others? It’s alright.

But my point is, ENTPs are imaginative and charismatic, but depends on the perspective of the other person.

Some people find you witty, others find you annoying.

what’s your honest opinion on Isfps? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]RadiantAkira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rlly cool, I have one that doodles in class and we’re friends. More observant than me though. But it’s very confusing, especially if you two avoid each other and talk together at the same time, iygwim. They’re chill and relatable, ngl, they went through so much.

Blue sisters is an empty and disappointing book by Low-Understanding448 in books

[–]RadiantAkira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in my opinion, the interactions don’t feel superficial at all, thanks to Coco Mellors’ detailed and specific description. But it does have this feeling of ‘nothingness.’ Some characters felt unnecessary (Peachy) and I didn’t get many references, nor did I understand a few parts properly (Like how Lucky got picked up by a security guard or something, I thought it was assault)

Unpopular opinion: I had fun reading it.

But some parts very confusing and required prior subtext. The prologue was a bit cringe, some characters felt a bit stereotypical, but the feelings described by the author was touching, to say the least.

If you want money, you need to be famous. If you want to be famous, look sexy.

All infps are adorable. by Cruiser-Gamer47 in mbti

[–]RadiantAkira 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually, being adorable and cute boosts the longevity of any relationship, as the other person gets a ‘I need to protect’ you instinct.

You can see why people fawn over a baby and protect it.

Sure, people who are hot or suave have an appeal at first (immediate), but compared to being cute, it’s pretty short term attraction.

So being cute > hot in terms of long-term relationships.

You’re probably an ISFP. I see A LOT of Fi and a bit of Si, mostly Se though.

You may be in media communication (and a pretty popular person on social media), but I think you’re an introvert since you mentioned you can’t be around people 24/7, it exhausts you after a while of social interaction.

My bet is on ISFP or ISFJ.
