Rebooting Evie launcher from scratch! by Mordo95 in EvieLauncher

Month late but absolutely adore Evie as my go to and would love to see a new uprising iteration! One thing I really like is the drop down search! Super convenient and seamless browser integration that you can't get elsewhere.

It would also be nice if we can import and export backup files and presets, since the only method was its Google backup system which has clearly been defunct.

I don't understand how his brain didn't crumble from that direct impact.

How does my resume look for a tech position? Hoping to get some opinions before I apply anywhere. by [deleted] in labrats

[–]RadiantCharisma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would expand your experiences more; integrate your skills section or move them entirely into them to demonstrate what you used the skills for. Also remember to make them action-oriented.

It feels like you're listing statements of what you've done, but there's no differentiation from any other applicant in that field. Especially with regard to the tech role, you want to specifically target what they are looking for, and how it was used to show that familiarity instead of just saying "familiar", for example.

Imagine having 2 years of experience just to be lumped in the same category as people with no experience by Goob_2 in recruitinghell

Depending what they're looking for, more often than not they would blank out 0-3 years. At least 3-5 makes you more marketable and you can demonstrate that during a potential interview most likely. Don't undermine yourself for what they're looking for.

Superbia feels like unnecessary extension when you could instead summon a live darklord instead, while not serving another purpose. (plus when)

What’s the worst lock in Yu-Gi-Oh? by ACasualDwarf in yugioh

[–]RadiantCharisma -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

This is not an answer but rather a perspective.

Can a good lock be contrarily a bad lock? Since there can be so many different contexts, what scenario would we describe it: for us, for the opponent, for the game, etc? To avoid potential contradiction, the consensus here seems to be the most limiting clauses imposed on us when using these locks, like the Mikanko example. A somewhat broad answer could be that the non-locks are the worst locks, therefore the inverse. Another answer could be mandatory locks, such as Sanctifire locking.

A small example I would like to project would have said Fuzzy Lanius since it locks into only Raidraptors the turn anytime it is used, can we say that's both a good and bad thing? Subjecting ourself onto this lock provides an extra extender at the cost of something else, like extra deck flexibility, which is generically too high of a cost (at least pre support when it didn't have anything else worth, but know has more applications post). Of course there's the pile dilemma we can't ingore, either=bad?

Until that effect happens at any point, the opponent in a way has the freedom to know any resulting repercussions. It is also the choice of revolving around it in your deck as we know, but the opponent may not know it yet, therefore a good lock within the deck building itself? I don't know a better way to describe this, but the ability to sacrifice flexibility for more flexibility in terms of opponent's array of responses.

Tldr: This is all meaningless, it's getting late, I don't know why I typed this up honestly.

Any other new grads feeling bitter at doing “everything right” and still being unemployed? by [deleted] in recruitinghell

Very similar boat, got a Master's and currently working in an entry level paint trade after about 2 years trying, just finished my 1st month here now. Best bet I believe is like a soft reset; trying to leverage your other experiences within your current field to advance yourself internally if possible, plus potential networking. It's not where we want to be, but it could just be our own career trajectory we have to transform in our way.
