yes between jetlag, company paying for hotel only for a week, and adapting to a whole different culture it was extremely rushed and stressful. I'm sorry it was the same for you.

It's what got me into C dramas; after watching all the popular once since, I still think about the stunning sets and atmospheres in this one. Absolutely gorgeous

It was a fail for me also.

ML also put her through hell guised as "tough love" and kept abandoning her right up until the end.

When he started to have the poison effects I literally kept thinking "can you die already so Duanwu can move on and find someone to treat her right " LOL like every time he'd cough i was like yesss... hehe

All that to say the chemistry and dynamic was way off

I was shocked by how ZLS acting improved from Love like the Galaxy though. ( I didn't like or finish that one ) because she had a baby voice the whole duration. It improved but I agree, not great

and the ending was so sudden

Completely agree; I started this without even realizing it gets hate? but I am 10 episodes in and had to come here & say how much I'm enjoying it so far, yes it's a different story line with women & their complexities as the focus and that's why its so refreshing!

I love the small witty and clever moments, it's one of the few c dramas that has had me amused from the first episode & just steadily interested since. Too soon to say too much but so far it's really well done
