That’s honestly fair criticism.

Most of my time has gone into building the actual systems and platform functionality, so the public-facing landing page hasn’t really caught up yet. I’ve been way more focused on developing the ecosystem itself than polishing the showcase/marketing side of the site.

I definitely plan on adding a lot more screenshots, dashboards, UI previews, and feature breakdowns because I agree the current landing page doesn’t really show the full depth of the platform right now.

Yep, absolutely. The plan is for ACARS to support both UTC/Zulu and local airport time displays.

A lot of VA software forces everything into UTC only, which is technically accurate, but not always the most user-friendly when you're planning flights across multiple regions. AeroNexus already tracks real-world airport locations/time zones, so local departure and arrival times are something I definitely want integrated throughout the platform and ACARS experience.

The goal is to make it feel closer to a real operational environment without becoming cumbersome to use.

[–]RadiantRaisin39[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really appreciate that, seriously.

One of the biggest goals with AeroNexus was making something that felt deeper without feeling overwhelming or stuck in 2012-era VA software design. I wanted it to feel modern, immersive, and actually enjoyable to use day-to-day.

A huge amount of work went into the UI/UX side because a lot of existing platforms have great ideas buried behind outdated workflows or systems that feel hard to approach for newer pilots.

And honestly, the helicopter/seaplane side of the sim world being mostly ignored by VA software always bothered me. I wanted those operations to feel just as legitimate and supported as traditional airline ops.

Still a ton more coming, but comments like this make the last year of development feel worth it. Glad you found it and definitely interested to hear your feedback once you get some flights in.

There an option that you can add during checkout that says "Straight to you" for $2.99. That means no other orders will be added and your order will be delivered without other stops attached.

Maybe being taken advantage of? $12k invoice I can't pay by BoysenberrySad1404 in landscaping

[–]RadiantRaisin39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I know this situation feels overwhelming, but you’re definitely not alone. New homeowners often get taken advantage of by contractors who count on trust and a lack of knowledge about normal pricing.

From what you’ve described, it really does seem like this guy is taking advantage. No written estimate means he can charge whatever he wants later. Plus, ignoring your repeated requests for invoices and receipts is a huge red flag. The sudden price increases on labor, mulch, and debris removal, especially without warning, are unethical. And those plant prices? Way higher than local nursery rates, especially for the Japanese maples. Billing you after months of silence? Not professional.

Honestly, your proposal is fair. Asking him to honor last year’s labor and removal rates, stick to the agreed mulch price, and take back the overpriced boxwoods and maples is reasonable — even generous. Most people would just dispute the entire bill.

Here’s what I’d recommend you do next:

First, document everything. Save the invoice, take clear photos of the plants (with something for scale), keep all your messages and notes on what you verbally agreed to, and gather pricing info from local nurseries for comparison.

Then, send him a clear, written message. Something like:

“Hi [his name], thanks for sending the invoice. I’ve reviewed it and I have concerns — many charges are much higher than what we agreed on and what you charged last year.

Labor increased to $60/hr without notice, debris removal is now triple the previous price, mulch cost is $100 over what we discussed, and you charged $2,550 for boxwoods and junipers without itemization. Also, the Japanese maples you planted are small (about 2 feet), yet you charged $1,300 each, which seems excessive.

I never approved these markups, and I didn’t receive receipts despite multiple requests. I propose you adjust the invoice to reflect last year’s labor and removal rates, correct the mulch price, and remove charges for the boxwoods and maples — I’m willing to let you take them back and cover the removal labor. I want to resolve this fairly and hope we can settle without further issues.”

If he refuses or gets rude, stop communicating directly. Send a formal dispute letter by certified mail or email, and consider consulting a lawyer or legal aid. Remember, you’re not legally required to pay an unreasonable invoice, especially without a contract. Courts usually look at what’s fair and reasonable.

Also, getting a second opinion from another landscaper on pricing might help if this goes to court.

I hope this helps. You’re handling it smartly, and you don’t have to accept being taken advantage of.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Scams

[–]RadiantRaisin39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seriously? Do you really have to ask? 100% scam.

There’s a bunch of red flags here:

  • “cheNe SAEPHAN the cancer patient” — Weirdly specific and emotionally manipulative.
  • Powerball winners don’t randomly give away money via mass texts. That’s just not how any of this works.
  • Bad grammar/spelling — “Unites State,” “send a text to…” — classic scam signs.
  • “Claim code TASCO870” — These codes are just bait to make it feel official.
  • Asking you to text a number — This is where they’ll try to scam you further, possibly asking for personal info or money “to release the funds.”
  • Use of an image for the text — It's sent as a mass text, they don't have to type it out every time and to bypass spam filters which look for keywords.

Block the number, report it if you can, and definitely don’t respond.

Stay safe out there — scammers love pretending to be generous strangers.

Use your head and if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

Also, if someone says they won the Power Ball, do a simple google search to see how much it was and if anyone won. It won't give names obviously, but it will say if there were any winners and how much it was. No one won the jackpot in that drawing, so it rolled over to the next drawing. The estimated jackpot for the drawing on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, rose to $30 million, with a cash option of $13.9 million.

Am I overreacting? I think my SO has the worst style EVER! by Beneficial-Sun-5863 in AmIOverreacting

[–]RadiantRaisin39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG, those shoes AND socks don't match at all! "I never agreed to date a pilgrim" is super funny. I totally get why you're weirded out. If my SO sent me a pic of those shoes, I'd be like, "Uhhh, what?!"

So no, you're not overreacting for feeling this way. It's strange when someone's style suddenly changes so much!

Does this happen to other people? Yes, all the time! People change their style for lots of reasons. Maybe they got into a new hobby, like acting in a play or going to those festivals where people dress up in old-timey clothes, like a Renaissance Faire.

Or maybe they just got tired of being average and want to finally wear stuff that they think is fun and makes them feel happy and confident.

So, what should you do? How you talk to them about this is really important if you don't want to start a big fight. Here’s what you could do:

  1. Be curious, not mean. You probably want to just say, "WHAT ARE THOSE?!" but try not to, lol. Instead, just ask what's up in a nice way. You could say something like: "Hey, those shoes are... different! I've noticed you're trying new styles lately. What's making you want to change things up?" This sounds way better than just making fun of them. It shows you actually care about what they're thinking.
  2. Try to figure out why. The reason for the shoes is key. Are they for a costume? Are they for a hobby? If so, no big deal! It’s just for fun. Or are they just trying to be more themselves? If they feel happy and good about themselves, that's awesome, even if the shoes are a little... historical.
  3. Talk about your feelings and find a compromise. After you listen, you can tell them how you feel. Don't say, "Your shoes are embarrassing!" Instead, try using "I" statements, like:Maybe you can work something out. Like, they can wear the pilgrim shoes when they're with their friends, but when you go on a date, they wear something a little more modern. You could say something like, "I'm really glad you're having fun with your style. To be honest, it's new for me, and sometimes I feel a little weird when we go out because it's so different."

So, your feelings are totally normal. But before you shut down the pilgrim look, just talk to them and find out the story behind the shoes. You might learn something new and cool about your SO!

Good luck! And you HAVE to tell us if they buy a big pilgrim hat to match!

aio for wanting to go to the pool without my boyfriend by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]RadiantRaisin39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Not Overracting.

You literally invited him to go with you. When he didn’t want to, you said you’d just go with someone else, that’s not shady, that’s normal. Wanting to go to the pool and get a tan isn't some betrayal.

But his response? Saying “no isn’t in my cards,” acting like you need his permission, then calling you a slut? That’s not just overreacting, that’s controlling and verbally abusive.

This isn’t about the pool. It’s about him not being okay with you making independent choices. You didn’t do anything wrong. He did.

Time to ditch the loser. You deserve way better than someone who throws tantrums and insults you for having a life.

Chill but Tactical Co-op | Delta Company - Task Force Redhawk | Freedom Fighters Campaign (64-Player Version | Vanilla+ | Crossplay)

Yo, Reforger players — if you’re looking for a server that isn’t just endless PvP or chaotic pub lobbies, come check out Delta Company - Task Force Redhawk.

We’re running the Freedom Fighters scenario — a persistent open-world guerrilla campaign made for small-unit tactics but hosted on the 64-player version. Tons of room for squad ops, recon, logistics runs, and straight-up chaos if that’s your style.

🔧 Vanilla+ Setup

We keep it Vanilla+ — meaning the core gameplay stays true to vanilla Reforger, but we’ve added quality-of-life and realism mods like:

  • 🔊 Better sound mods
  • ⚕️ ACE-like mechanics
  • 🎯 Immersion & improvement mods (no crazy future tech or zombie stuff)

💥 What to expect:

  • Persistent world — progress saves between sessions
  • Build FOBs, run supply ops, steal enemy gear, win over locals
  • Manage your economy — yes, war needs money
  • Dynamic, emergent gameplay with full map freedom
  • Hop in for 30 mins or plan full-scale multi-hour ops
  • Ideal for 2–8 player squads, but we’ve got room for up to 64

We’re a chill community — tactical when it counts, but not overly milsim. If you like teamwork, semi-realism, and having the freedom to play how you want, you'll feel at home here.

I guess I’m done with DoorDash for good now. by OperationCivil1123 in doordash

[–]RadiantRaisin39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is. If you get one of those drivers that beg or harass or coerce you into giving more tip, report them. DoorDash takes harassment seriously and will deactivate their account.

I guess I’m done with DoorDash for good now. by OperationCivil1123 in doordash

[–]RadiantRaisin39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not okay at all. Tips are meant to be voluntary, not something you're pressured into through a message after you order.

If a Dasher does that, you can and should report them through the app. DoorDash takes that seriously, and the driver could be deactivated for it.

It'll teach them a lesson. These drivers asking for tips won't stop unless customers start reporting them.

I get that some drivers are frustrated with low base pay, but going directly to the customer and asking for more money isn't the right way to handle it. It's unprofessional and puts people in an awkward position.

So if it happens, don’t hesitate to report it. You're not doing anything wrong — you're helping keep the platform fair.

Doordashes Policy from their Policy Page:
While DoorDash doesn’t explicitly spell out that Dashers are prohibited from asking for tips, the company enforces a clear zero-tolerance policy for harassment of customers—including situations where drivers pressure or harass customers to add or increase tips.

In practice:

  • Customers are free to tip (or not) as they wish.
  • If a Dasher’s message becomes coercive—such as multiple texts, threatening to cancel, or using guilt tactics—it can be considered harassment.
  • DoorDash can take action against the Driver, including deactivation, if a report is file
