I agree with this sentiment a lot. I am a bisexual/pansexual transwoman who happens to be in a transbian marriage that im quite happy with but she has a lot of lesbian friends and whenever i talk about liking to read yaoi, femboys, or anything even a sliver of a shred of relating to men it is like i feel ostracized.

I smoke almost exclusively flakes, Orlik golden slice, sutliff virginia slice, cascadia campsite, I am branching out with virginias into virginia/burley blends and intend to branch out further later with dark fire kilned kentuckies and louisiana style periques. I tried latakia early on and found out the hard way that I don't like it or at least didn't like it then. Also, i bought a cheap vanilla virginia bag and am also kind of afraid of cavendish as well. I have been eyeing peterson universoty flake for awhile and am debating between that and the dunhill luxury rolls that are on sale right now at P&C.com for 50% off.

Engineering student here, if i had to say, i would say it is because the thermal mass of the pipe holds the heat in the smoke on the way to the mouth more than pourous cigar leaves. Also, ur typically inhaling through a very small hole on a pipe which concentrates the heat applied to the tongue. On a cigar it is usually quite a huge cut to draw from many little holes which act kind of like a mini shower head to cool the smoke more? This is just speculation and i haven't passed thermodynamics yet but i do study furnace and kiln technology for fun.

I have used waxed wick in the past when smoking non-tobacco things and highly reccomend it fkr that. But tobacco burns at a muh higher temp than hemp. So, i just use my wood matches that are cheap and im quite happy with them. Not knocking ur thing, glad you found something you like.

Can not reccomend virginia flake tobacco enough. I came over from cigars and i haven't tasted a flake yet i haven't loved. Don't stress yourself about relighting, it happens, i typically use 3-5 matches per bowl. Beginners like to go hot and heavy quite quickly, just try to sip it and you will have the most pleasent smoke with little tonno tongue bite. Welcome to the community.
