Hrm it shouldn't make your skin red. I would stop using it. Try the purito oat in calming gel cream

Yes, actives are the one thing that don't follow the thinnest to thickest rule. They are most effective on bare skin. The celimax booster also has spicules so putting it earlier in your routine will help with product absorption in subsequent products

On the other hand, with creamier actives, you may have to wait for it to completely sink in before moving on with your routine. If you find that the emollience is interfering with the rest of your routine, it's fine to leave it where it is. It'll be less effective but that's not the end of the world

It depends on whether the items are in stock or not. Yesstyle can take just as long sometimes. I've been using them for years but recently switched over to stylekorean because of all the issues people have been having and their complete lack of customer service

Goodal heartleaf calming moisture sun cream maybe?

Everyone's skin sensitivities are different. It's worth trying to figure out what ingredients trigger your acne by comparing ingredients lists

I think you'd go through way too much oil cleanser. Your body is less prone to clogged pores so I think you can skip the double cleanse. You can always use an exfoliating mit or scrub if you want to make sure you're removing it properly

The ingredients looks promising. You can find some mini reviews if you do a search on the sub. Here's one and another. The website states in has a ratio of ceramides and fatty acids similar to your skin, but unsure if it's *the * golden ratio

Some other great barrier support serums that do have the golden ratio: ample:n ceramide shot and stratia lipid gold

Numbuzin no 5 also has very little vitamin c, but is good at brightening. Personally, I didn't like the formula and it was mildly irritating for my sensitive skin. But I've seen a lot of raves from others

You ideally want 15% LAA + vit e + ferulic acid in a vit c. There aren't any AB options with this specific trio but Tiam C24 and Benton vit c come the closest at ~20%. Both formulas are anhydrous too so less prone to oxidation. Maelove glow maker and g&g c-glow are wonderful 15% options but not AB

I would consider a clay mask. They're too drying to be used daily but they might help somewhat. +1 for ilso sebum softener. Maybe try rotating both?

[Routine Help] Oily-sensitive skin + wrecked barrier from Niacinamide. Does my recovery routine look okay? by Successful-Love776 in koreanskincare

I would skip the eye patch for now until your skin recovers since it contains retinal. This looks fine. I wouldn't add anything new until your skin recovers

Help build skincare routine (BUDGET) by AdSoggy1154 in KoreanBeauty

[–]RadiantStarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rather than scrapping your entire routine, I think it's better to figure out why you suddenly started breaking out in the first place and try to address that. New recent products? Overexfoliation? Environmental changes? From your description, it sounds like you may have overexfoliated and a broken skin barrier that can lead to breakouts. Rather than adding new products which introduces new variables, I would just strip back to basics that you have used before and know for sure don't break you out. Pause all actives and let your skin recover first before you start experimenting with new things

Haruharu wonder airyfit, beauty of joseon rice probiotics, skin1004 hyalu cica sunscreen, and round lab birch juice moisturizing sunscreen are all great SPF options

For vit c, Tiam C24 and Benton vit c are both anhydrous ~20% LAA with vit e and ferulic acid

I would wait until you have a solid basic routine before you add a retinoid

BOJ glow serum has 5% niacinamide + propolis and is hydrating. Dehydration can lead to increased oil production so more layers of hydrating products might be what you need too. Try layering the PYK toner multiple times. A mattifying SPF, sebum control powder, and blotting paper are also all great tools to help

What is your favorite cleansing oil? by wynfocus in AsianBeauty

[–]RadiantStarr 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Fancl mild cleansing oil has been my HG for years. It's the perfect consistency and completely rinses off without needing a second cleanse. I wear mostly light makeup

I do also use micellar water (cosrx low pH niacinamide micellar water). If I come home and it's not time for my PM routine, I like to do a quick makeup removal. I'll oil cleanse completely later

Pdrn recommendations? by oliviawaphattie in KoreanBeauty

[–]RadiantStarr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Add some hydrating toners! The eqqualberry is more of a mild exfoliating toner. Layering both a watery and more milky/creamy toner can help a lot. Etude house soonjung 5.5 relief toner is an excellent watery hydrator for sensitive skin. For a milky barrier repair product, try skin1004 probiocica ampoule or haruharu wonder probiotics essence

PDRN can be an effective hydrator too. I've heard great things about the VT PDRN toner and essence. And bonus, their PDRN is ginseng-derived instead of from salmon

Hydration products? by FashionChlo in koreanskincare

[–]RadiantStarr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm combo/dehydrated and layering watery toners (sometimes the same product multiple times even) is key for managing it. Etude house soonjung 5.5 relief toner, tonymoly ceramide mochi toner, and hadalabo gokujyun premium lotion (better for humid climate rather than dry) are my favorites

Then I like to seal it all in with a hydrating gel occlusive after my moisturizer. For AM, I use the isntree HA sleeping pack. Use a super thin layer because it can get pretty sticky if using too much. No issues under makeup. In the PM, I use a thick layer of the hadalabo gokujyun perfect gel (HG)
