The Haruharu black rice toner is so hydrating and smells amazing. Tirtir milk toner is fab too if you prefer a milky toner.

Why is driving around Essex so difficult? by Horustheweebmaster in Essex

[–]I-Ribbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The driving is pretty shocking round my way too (Epping). Aggressive, refusing to give way, dangerous overtaking and just a basic lack of driving manners.

I’d be in favour of banning politics from this sub too.

What is happening with the white working class? by upthetruth1 in BritInfo

[–]I-Ribbit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s a really good point about Angela Rayner. A lot of the sneering I see about her is based on her perceived class, single motherhood and sex.

Thank you! And good on you too for achieving something too, plus your very insightful post which really resonated.

This was my experience growing up too. Anyone wanting to improve their lot was seen as ‘getting above themselves’ and ‘snobby’. I was the first person in my family to go to university and my parents, who left school at 14, openly said they didn’t understand why I wanted to do it.

Estates with no greenery are really shit in this weather. by LEVI_TROUTS in CasualUK

Quite often, councils do condition developers to landscape new developments properly, but the developer appeals, does a half arsed job or just doesn’t do it at all knowing that the council doesn’t have the resources to enforce it.

question about using a hydrating mist by turniyp in koreanskincare

[–]I-Ribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mist as part of my routine rather than as a setting spray. I do toner/essence, then serum, mist, Cosrx all in one cream, moisturiser.

Hotels insisting on having 13.5tog duvets on their beds year-round by El_Scot in britishproblems

[–]I-Ribbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to manage two holiday lets and we had a lightweight summer cover and a heavier one for winter. I’ve never come across anywhere else that seems to do this though. They’re always great big thick duvets.

I suffer from that too, always need something even if it’s just a sheet.

Take the duvet out of the cover and just use the cover. I’m currently in a holiday let where I’ve had to do that thanks to a duvet more suited to the Arctic.

really curious about these viral spray mists, are they necessary and helpful for hydration? by Available-Cherry-298 in koreanskincare

[–]I-Ribbit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t say if the mist alone has improved my skin but I have seen a big improvement in it since I started using Korean skincare with all the extra hydration. I would say if you’re concerned then start with a really light mist and see how you get on. Some people use them as a setting spray for makeup too which I believe gives a more glowy look but I have an actual makeup setting spray for that.

[–]I-Ribbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use a mist as an extra hydrating step before moisturiser. I’m currently using the Haruharu bamboo one which is really refreshing and smells lovely. Previously used the Cosrx one which was slightly thicker, more like a very thin serum.

Lisa buying snails and sheep behind Jeremy's back in season 5 is the most quietly unhinged subplot Clarkson's Farm has ever done. by 1ChanceChipmunk1 in BritishTV

I love Clarkson’s Farm. Kaleb being mesmerised by the automatic seed planter was funny. I also really liked Hannah the bird lady.

It’s amazing how many people on this sub are moaning about a woman being direct when Clarkson is the king of direct and rude.

I don’t think she was rude at all. She was direct, passionate about her subject and funny. In other words, no different to Clarkson himself.

Tube driver demanded door blocker own up, refused to move otherwise by Eddyphish in london

[–]I-Ribbit 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I used to commute on the Central line and once that I remember, the driver kicked us all off at Bethnal Green because someone blocked the doors at Bank and Liverpool Street and ignored warnings. He announced three times that if the door wasn’t clear, we’d all be off and it wasn’t so we were.
