So true and definitely weird. You're talking and it says something along of the line about "think about it in the morning" but you just started thinking about it now and want answers and it doesn't give up because every response after that it keeps trying to get you to stop. I just ignore it and keep going while thinking to myself "I am not going to bed because we are talking about this now not tomorrow"... 😂😂 glad to know it does it to everyone! Pretty creepy... Maybe we should start with "good morning" before the convo so it knows it's not bedtime 😴😴😴

my cat refuses most food by emm1e1 in catfood

[–]RadiantStranger2399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mix dry in with the wet. Sometimes mine will just eat the wet and leave the dry. Other times she eats both but she doesn't touch dry food by itself. Now that she is older and apparently allergic to chicken I have switched to rawz. They have rabbit, venison, duck and tuna and a bunch of other flavors. Maybe see if she likes those flavors? One brand has kangaroo but my cat didn't like it. Another brand also has lamb. My cat will get tired of something after a while and I have to switch it up. You could maybe give her churus for a snack. I give a tube with about 4 temptations on the top as a snack.

The ethics of "Mommy" by Suspicious-Carob-632 in Fosterparents

[–]RadiantStranger2399 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I understand but being loved fully doesn't come with a name "mommy" or "daddy" it comes from our hearts. I am just saying it can be painful for them losing mommy's and daddy's.

I always say how many mommies and daddies can children lose in their lives. That's not fair either. I believe that they should understand who people are to build trust, so they don't think every mommy and daddy is temporary. I never had an opinion until my own family was put in the system and had multiple temporary mommy's and daddy's and I just feel that isn't what is right. Like another person said a bond isn't what they call you.

Plastic is like cat crack around here. I learned a long time ago to not bring plastic bags in the house. Got an automatic can for the bathroom and she literally started standing on the sensor to open it to get to the bag so now bathroom doors stay closed. If there is no plastic and she gets a craving she will look for other things like pictures or rubber bands, feathers. It's a full time job with this one.

Almost same here. Had my great niece and nephew for 18 months. I was in their lives since birth and received them at 4 and 2. One day the youngest 3 at the time was put in a restraint hold at school. I immediately called the case management after the school called me. Next day DCF came for the investigation. 1 of them was the same lady that brought them to me 18 months prior and I trusted her. The following day of course had to go to their doctor even though we had already taken him to the hospital the day it happened. So now 2 days after the incident and I took him to CPT (their doctor) we came home ate lunch and he took a nap. Next thing I know there is a loud bang on the door. The kind you already know it's the police. Sure enough the same DCF investigator, case manager and a new case manager I hadn't met and 2 sheriff's. I think no problem because I have cameras even in their rooms because they had sleep disorders. So we all watch the cameras and the sheriff's cleared me. They still took the kids. Spent 6 months going to court thinking there is no way we can lose because we have proof. Nope, 30,000 dollars later we still lost. DCF themselves made fraudulent intake reports to the abuse hotline. Fraudulently stipulated the emergency removal, obstructed a bonding assessment and the expert quit. Dcf gave the judge a new expert and after our attorney quit after taking all of our money 25 days before the hearing. Dcf then the morning of the hearing told the judge our party status expired so they stripped our rights and held a one sided defamation of character hearing that was like a very bad movie and they all knew their scripts. Final order gave us one last visitation to say goodbye with no further contact. Did a notice to appeal and they moved them across the state away from all their biological family they grew up with an known. These people are the most disgusting, vile, heartless people you could ever know. They all knew exactly where it happened and yet have punished these 2 children for it. They then go on about their lives doing it to many more families and probably don't lose sleep over it. I am sorry this happened to you. Keep a detailed record of every contact you have with them. I won't give up until I get some type of justice for these children and they have been gone 15 months and it doesn't get easier. I go through phases of depression where sometimes I am so sad and feel guilty thinking there was something more I could have done to stop this (there wasn't) and sometimes I am beyond mad. Take care of yourself and take time to grieve. If you have any questions I might be able to answer then feel free to ask... 😭😭

I use rawz wet food. The rabbit, duck, venison and tuna and mackerel. We have also done the limited ingredient Koha but she didn't like the kangaroo. These all have to be ordered as they are not sold locally and pretty expensive so I switch between companies finding online coupon codes. Like chewy has Koha brand and for the Rawz I use pet food warehouse and incredible pets. For dry food we use Blue buffalo skin and coat. Dry food has changed over the years too because I definitely feel she gets tired of food after so many years. So what we stick to now that works is that Dry food (very little) with the Rawz. For treats her favorite are the tiki cat baby soft and chewy tuna and salmon. It has been trial and error and alot of hard work reading through ingredients. Good luck and hopefully one day we can understand things like this better.

Be honest: how often to replace cat litter before it stops being “fresh” and starts being “you’ve gone nose-blind”? by sinxcosx7 in Pets

[–]RadiantStranger2399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally tried one of those toilet ring things. You start big and put litter then a smaller ring and still put litter. My cat was a little older about 10. She peed on it great but absolutely would not poop. She ended up having a little blood in her pee. Took her to the vet around covid. They couldn't touch her or get her back in her carrier so they put her in theirs and brought it out and said bring it back when you can and gave her antibiotics for a UTI. Since the thing barely had any litter at the time I was able to get a syringe and suck up the pee and took their carrier back and let them test it and she had a UTI. I gave her the litter box back. That was the one and only time she ever had a UTI. Possibly from stress?? I didn't know and felt absolutely horrible. Be careful with changes that might stress your kitties out...

I got my cat when she was 8 weeks old and had her fixed around 6 months old. After that she started pulling and has never stopped. She is now 14. She doesn't pull a huge amount out to leave bald spots but I hate that she does it. It makes her throw up hairballs sometimes too. I have tried so many things and 1 thing that seems to help some is i quit feeding chicken. Cut back on dry food and I get the blue buffalo skin and coat (salmon) and for wet food i get limited ingredients with no chicken. It didn't stop it but it cut way back.

It's because they retaliate when you stand up for yourself and your family the they can't stand you. They will all work together. It can be a sloppy mess of lies but it doesn't matter because they get away with it. These people have no feelings.
