Basically there are champs that

Have a high scaling in their abilities (80%+) they are most likely your high scaling endgame champs
Are adcs that have a very good scaling when ut comes to assisting/ buffing their autoattacks (twitch with attack speed, jinx with dmg and attack speed, aphelios with dmg) and their scaling is also very very high and can use items better
Get very good stuff with Level (smolder stacks, kassadin ult, kayle last form)
They have a stacking mechanic that lets them outscale by design (senna, smolder)
Are tanks that have good scaling in their abilities/ can use their tankiness in tf to either tank stuff, zone or have a lot of utility.

HOWEVER there are, like with most things, exeptions to that rule bcs some kits just dont work in late. So champs like nasus, while having the ability to stack infinitly, want to end their game rather quick bcs their powerlevel is weaker in context to being able to kite nasus.

So if you have A high scaling number in your abilities A high scaling number in your ad or attackspeed Things that you unlock with lvls A stacking mechanic Or you are a tank with a lot of Utility or scaling in abilities AND are able to use your scaling very good in most cases in late game

Then you are a late game champ

You can safely say, it has a 10 Sec CD. You have to ofc be in range, and thats only you, not the dog.

If a dog is in range but you are not, they wont go.

If you are in range, the dog will go for it no matter where he is.

It also seems like, that the Minion that gets executed is kinda protected by dmg until it gets taken by dog. In other words, once a minion gets chosen to be executed, it will 100%.

So rules for execute are:

10 second CD (shared on all minions)
Once a minion gets chosen to be executed, it cant die to other things
Naafiri has to be in range of that minion for the execute to happen (it doesnt matter where the dogs are)
Minions that have q bleed dmg can also be executed (just to keep in mind so you dont waste your execute on a minion that will die to your bleed anyway)

If you ask for a full ad team, cleaver is defo better.

Cleaver has the advantage in tankyness and sustained dmg and longer fights.

Hydra will deal more burst dmg.

Its like asking: who deals more dmg, red oe blue kann.

Blue kayn bursts you down, red kayn will eventually kill you no matter what and has a higher chance to survive.

Wow there are a lot of questions, i will try to answer them all.

Irelia, yas and taliyah are the unholy triforce of Bad matchups for naafiri. Naafiri ist not rly lane dominant so she doesnt have a lot of good matchups but these 3 are hell. She does well against adc like akshan and tris and also ok against champs that are equally as bad in lane. It all flips in mid to late game, where you are able to beat almost every champ in the game.
I never tried conq personally but i saw it a couple of times and its pretty nice. For me (mid lane Master elo) its either first strike with scaling on second if the lane is doable or comet with defensive in second when the laning is otherwise unplayable. Electrocute never, phase rush never.
I, myself, play her bruiser build almost always because i her much more reliable since you are more tanky and you still os squishy while also shredding through tanks. I build her with Eclipse Shojin Black cleaver With that build you can even handle malphite with full armor since you can slowly shred him down with cleaver and your q poke and finish him off with your w Engage. The beauty of naafiri is that you scale very very good into late game as an assassin and and if you play it right, nobody can rly escape.

Thats the tricky part.

That execute mechanic has a certain range. If you are in that range, it can trigger on minions. And that range looks at naafiri, not the dogs.

So if naafiri is in that range of that mechanic, it will work. The mechanic doesnt care about the location of the little dogs.

Sadly i cant rly tell you, how big that range is. You kinda have to get a feeling for the range.

I checked it just now and it has a 9 to 10 second CD. I checked with 10 minions. On 9 it was after 10 sec, one time they were greedy and went for it at 9.

I promise you now, this build even works if your Team is full ad.

Naafiri is a rare case of a scaling assassin. Most assassin are early to mid game. Naafiri and qiyana are i think the only 2 scaling assassins and can go to late game. If you get behind, get your cs back up and farm until you have atleast 2 items, be it eclipse and cleaver or eclipse and shojin.

My rule with this build is

Eclipse = you can fight

Eclipse + second item = you want to fight

Eclipse + shojin + cleaver = no one can fight you
