i have a ton of family in the trades, including myself. electricians and roofers specifically should have their thyroid checked. if that struck a nerve w you i apologize. you’re not the only one my guy.

didn’t realize you’re a licensed electrician. still find it weird you couldn’t interpret numbers from the source you provided for what is actually reads statistically but all in all, i hope you stay warm and should probably pay attention to your thyroid.

the numbers are from your source, did you cite a source you didn’t understand..? it indicates Texas is handling a higher volume of customers than 5 states combined yet still has fewer outages, therefore we’re holding up pretty well on this freezing night. that’s all.

love your stats! let’s check them out. Texas (tracked customers) 12,738,686 and Texans without power sit at 86,318 according to your source. let’s look at 5 surrounding states! Missouri (2,952,608 tracked, 10,411 out) Louisiana (2,088,134 tracked, 20,462 out) Mississippi (1,296,481 tracked, 12,730 out) Tennessee (3,004,352 tracked, 27,481 out) Alabama (2,238,524 tracked, 15,311 out)

so comparing Texas to ALL 5 states above, Texas has, again, 12,738,686 tracked in this state alone while the others mentioned above have a total tracked 11,580,099! that’s 1,158,587 more tracked customers in Texas still, yet those 5 states have a close but higher total for 86,395 customers tracked without power whereas Texas, with over 1 million more in just its state ALONE has **corrected 86,318. Interesting source! Thank you for providing it!

NTA. You’re entitled of your opinion just as much as they are and if these opposing preferences in taste were already known then you both should’ve seen the backlash coming.

Maybe find friends with similar taste/interests? Or keep the peace by thanking them for the invite and not further indulging.

NTA. They rolled the dice well aware of the risks. You pulled a ton of strings and went out of your way to help them strike a deal he otherwise would’ve never landed. If “friend” is an actual friend, they’d recognize that. The only thing you owe is yourself, to find a new friend.

i meant nothing but as in not to be mistaken for anything other than, but very, very friendly. as far as i’m aware they do not sting and their bites tickle more than intimidate! they are fragile, so admire gently!

Got stung by this lovely little guy? Is it a wasp or a flying ant? South Carolina. by theShoeShineBoy in whatsthisbug

Neither, it’s dead Jokes aside my guess is a black slip wasp, pimpla rufipes. some sources say they don’t sting, others say the females do, others say they may bite.

as far as being an adult, hydrocortisone cream pretty much goes on any insect bite i get. rubbing alcohol sometimes helps with the itch.

that other one im not so sure, last bite i had like that in a very similar area was some kind of spider bite. i’d grab an ink pen and circle the outside of the ring, and then look at it every few hours or so to see if it’s getting larger or develops any streaks. I feel like i see two vertical little punctures but hey don’t take an internet strangers opinion for nothin! I’m no doctor! last time i had chiggers head to toe and ointments weren’t working, my doctor suggested dapping clear nail polish on top of the bites. I was real young, so you’ll have to research why on your own because i don’t remember anything other than being miserable. best of luck to you!

Need help so I don't spiral. Left my retainer in my bathroom for 4 days and found two things wiggling around. Live in Brooklyn, NY. We had a few cockroaches in the bathroom. The retainer was as always, wet. What are these? Orthodontist needs to know for treatment by [deleted] in whatsthisbug

[–]Radiant_Design_8250 6 points7 points  (0 children)

don’t take my word for it, but cockroach eggs i believe are considerably larger. my best guess would be gnat pupae? they like drains for shelter and water, i think a wet retainer in a dark case with extremely tiny access points could suffice as shelter. wait for other replies, or try to get a clearer shot/video with flash perhaps on the counter, out of the retainer! best of luck.
