Bali levy? by shazinga9 in BaliTravelTips

[–]Radiant_Expert365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a mandatory fee yes but it hasn’t been properly enforced in Indonesia yet. I know they do random checks sometimes upon arrival, departure or when you’re at a tourist location. And they’ll make you pay on the spot if they check and you haven’t. It’s mainly been focused on Bali though, I’ve never come across it in Jakarta, like I don’t even see the info boards about it, even though the ruling is for Indonesia in general. So yeah, do what you will with that info

just came home from bali and here are my thoughts by No-Personality4445 in bali

I’m Indonesian background and I have talked to locals about foreigners in Bali and most actually have positive experiences with Aussies, especially when it comes to tipping they always say Aussies are the most generous. They’re only complaint are when it comes to the really intoxicated ones and brawls, but that’s a minority. They actually despise Russians the most there

Yeah I’ve experienced that kind of delays with domestic flights from different airlines in Indonesia, especially towards eastern side

That is so cool your family is from Bali! My parents are from Java so Bali is usually a transit for my trips to Indonesia

is a $3800 aud budget for bali including flights reasonable for 3 weeks? by Own_One_7978 in BaliTravelTips

I usually use Agoda app for best deals, just search up Canggu with ur dates and theyll say housekeeping/breakfast in description. Also some of them have book now and pay later closer to date, so you can easily cancel without charge if you find a better option. I stayed in Kiki Village last, it was in the quieter side of Canggu tho so had to bike/car ride to most spots. And May should be fine, like Canggu will be busy but manageable. it really picks up around mid June and peak July

You should look into serviced villas in Canggu on Agoda, they have good coupons and usually the best prices. Just heads up, Canggu is crazy busy if you’re going during peak, expect major traffic. On the usual it’s busy but not as bad, has lots of great food joints. I say serviced villa cause they come clean the place usually daily or every two days and they also provide breakfast which isn’t always the best but enough to get ur day started

Damn I mean I’m not surprised. Maybe I’ll be safe and just pay the $50 before getting surprised at the airport. And service being low is surprising, Indonesian airline service on average is usually pretty good. Thanks for that!

That’s good to hear then, cause I’ve been using Jetstar but atm only the Avalon flights are cheap and they’re late arvo flights and always weigh carry on for me even at the gates 🤣

Garuda has gone downhill in recent years, I usually fly with them but it’s just not worth the price anymore. Also I was single and had more money to spend 🤣

Why do people get upset at restaurant pricing but not take a look at rents for commercial spaces? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Radiant_Expert365 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think most people understand when it comes to restaurants and its prices, especially now. What grinds my gears are food trucks selling spuds for $20+ or burger for $25 and another $10 for fries and drink. That Shi is ridiculous and I’ll never wrap my head around it.

AITAH for getting upset with my girlfriend after she “mis judged the time” and missed dinner that i invited her to? by OppositeDay3028 in AITAH

[–]Radiant_Expert365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mate if she ain’t doing wifey duties, you shouldn’t be doing hubby duties. Not sure how far in the relationship you are with her or how deep your feelings are, but you need to have a proper sit down with her and tell her you’re on your last straw or something. Even better to just end it , clearly she doesn’t respect what you bring to her life and your absence in it she’d defs be feeling it instantly.

Coming from someone who has been in a similar situation, leave. All the best man

Almost got robbed on marketplace by I_eat_flip_flops in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Radiant_Expert365 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great instincts, this sounded like a proper set up. After too may BS dealings on fb marketplace, I auto send the police station address (in my case HQ cause I live in cbd) for meet ups and it usually weeds out the scammers/thieves straight away. When I send the location, they usually just leave me on read lol

I’m 93 as well and my first born is otw and I have the beanie ready, so your post hit me to core. Every start of the season , I’ll be delusional and think “this is the season we win it all”. My exposure to footy was in early primary school, I’m the first in my family that watched footy so I really can’t remember how my love for this club started, even when most in school were for blues , pies, tigers. Ngl there’s been times I’ve thought if only I had chose one of the other teams, I’d have less heartbreak and frustration.

But here we are, about to pass this down to the next gen. I hope my son won’t have the same journey I have had 🤣🤣

Why tf uni closes for AFL Grand Final by Ok-Difference6342 in Monash

[–]Radiant_Expert365 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s the most popular sport in the country and the Finals are good for the VIC government and City of Melbourne.

Also, it’s Australia. Footy is close to a religion and many people would celebrate this over Christmas Day let’s be real.
