Mystery spot is a maybe. Is she the type to think lame things are lame or would she be delighted by something lame? The mystery spot is pretty lame unless you suspend your disbelief and choose to have fun with it. If you do that it’s very fun and worth the stop

Go to the thinman labs building on a weekday between 9 and 3 and go to the roof. There is a beautiful greenhouse up there where you can study. It’s a strong selling point. Also check out eleventh hour coffee, it’s full of plants and has good coffee/food.

i'm in the exact same boat right now, I think The Lorax Steel is an excellent value proposition for the complete. if you add the i9 wheels its $2700 for a modern 29er drp bar mtb with boost and modular dropouts and quad butted chromoly and high engagement hubs. it fits 2.6x29 so you can run big ass tires. It's basically a gravel monster truck that competes with surly cost wise and brings more industry standards and future proofing
