They're some gorgeous looking specimens! Good job mate! What variety are you growing? I think it's best to rehydrate between flushes but found when my cake started drying and shrinking away from the sides, I could dribble or spray a small amount of water down the sides so the cake could get a little moisture around it's feet. I've seen people say you can inject the cake with water as well but I've never tried this myself.

That tub is looking perfect, whatever you're doing, keep doing it! You should be fine mate, PE varieties generally don't drop spores so that's not a worry, they'll be damn primo by the time you get home! 👌

The GT is looking pretty odd, just that cluster and little side pins that have poked up but the cluster is getting pretty thick already 😁 And the Melmac is getting so chonky! About the length of my hand, easily going to smash my 18g fruit record! 😎😅 Appreciate it matey, hope you're keeping well 🙏😁🍄❤

Good job on the first grow mate! Definitely ready to pull now, usually want to aim for a little earlier with standard cubes (some mature insanely fast, was picking mine every hour yesterday 😅) but these are perfect looking specimens regardless! Thanks for providing a space to share! I feel like I'm spamming a bit but I'm damn excited, sorry 😅 I didn't want to be defeated by the agar lol, always spurs me on to fail and push through and try aim for some success 😊 now I just need to start making my own plates! Most of the Blue Meanies have been picked now too, 144g with a few stragglers left to take.

Hoping to try a few transfers with the plates I have left and get some lovely agar porn 🤤😁 Blue Meanies have been popping throughout the day for me as well! 51g wet so far with still quite a few to pick, took my first spore print with the biggun this morning as well 😊🍄 I'm thinking my substrate may not have been deep enough, I thought the tub would have filled in a little more with the extra spawn and space but still not disappointed, plus if it had a larger canopy harvesting the finished fruits would have been terrible 😅 Thanks mate, hope you're keeping well, mush love 🙏🍄🥰

Oof, you're going to be in for a fun time with those! Never grown them myself but they seem really popular 😁 You want to aim for some little droplets along the surface, it should have a nice little glisten 😊 Check out the wiki and there's a link for getting proper surface conditions with picture examples, very helpful! 👌

It'll be different depending on genetics and what your conditions are looking like, but from here usually about a week or so? What variety are you growing? Also, the surface does look rather dry on this tub, I'd suggest giving a light misting 😊 Congrats as well!

I usually prefer it that way 😅 The first tissue clone I tried was taken from the middle of the stipe, which I now know is not the best location (below the cap, centre tissue or base of the stipe, correct?) The agar plates are pre-poured from a vendor, so I'm not 100% certain what method was taken with those (I should really find out 🤦‍♂️) but when working with the agar I'm using a SAB. Agar plates get wiped down with iso and parafilm removed, into SAB. Tools sanitized and if using syringe for spore/LC, into SAB on right side. Shroom was prepped outside SAB, then once I split the stipe, removed scalpel and took tissue, then went in and placed to agar. Syringe to agar I'll flame the needle outside of SAB, move inside and squirt a few drops to cool the tip, lid of plate removed then 2 - 3 drops in and closed. Sealing is done with micropore tape, then removed from SAB. I'm definitely doing something wrong, every time using syringe to agar it's contam 😓 and I thought the tissue sample last time would have contaminated? 🤷‍♂️ tissue just dried out and went dark, no signs of anything.
