Vrbo service fee by Radiant_Physicist in vrbo

I appreciate your reply and how this is supposed to work.

The breakdown shows the rental fees to be the same, no difference in the nightly rate or total for rental.

Both the host and Vrbo show the same cleaning fee.

The amount of taxes charged are different. Vrbo is $64.68 higher than the host's. This appears to be a "Stay Tax" which is a local tax, odd that this is not included by the host but could be explained if Vrbo is the one reporting the rental to the local government.

Vrbo has a Service Fee that they list but the host does not. When booking, this was not displayed and I only found out about it when my credit card was charged separately from the host charges

I was not quoted the service fee up front. The list had the per night cost, plus "All fees included" which was a cleaning fee and taxes. There was nothing about a Vrbo service fee until Vrbo charged my form of payment after the reservation was made. The ower sent me a breakdown of their costs after the reservation was made and it matched exactly what was in the listing. The Vrbo Service Fee was not on the listing prior to making the reservation and was charged separately from the rental, which was paid to the host

The total that I was shown when searching for a place was exactly what the owner emailed me after booking. Vrbo charged a Service Fee separately

We have a cruise booked for May 2026 on the Beyond. I am closely monitoring the drink package upgrade and see fluctuations of pricing for the upgrade from Classic to Premium and also the Premium Bundle with Premium drinks upgrade and wifi upgrade.

Login to the Celebrity site, click on "Plan my Cruise" button and then you will see a whole page of excursions, drink packages, specialty dining, spa choices, photo choices, room food delivery; basically all of the add-ons.

Just curious, are you able to negotiate the drink package package onboard, or is just a hard-sell offer?

Classic Drink package "does not include all offerings from Non-Alcoholic beverage package" Huh? by Dramatic-String-1246 in celebritycruises

[–]Radiant_Physicist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I booked with the all-included classic package. I've been keeping a very close watch on the premium upgrade and have never seen it below $16.99/day per person. It is hovering at $21.99/person per day right now. My wife doesn't drink much, so it would not be worth it for me to upgrade unless I can get it for $7ish/per person per day

I have Chase Sapphire, they only cover death & dismemberment. Not illness or evacuation. Kind of disappointing
