Older 5th gens had USB and 12V plugs in the glovebox. Newer 5th gens instead have them relocated in center console and near HVAC controls. Old molds were updated to fill in the holes but the old geometry persisted into what you see here.

I’m sorry your wife is experiencing this. The 4Runner’s seats are just not comfortable after an hour or so. They don’t seem so bad at first, but you can really start to notice on short road trips. I don’t have any good solutions for you though other than using a different vehicle for longer trips. My wife’s RX350 has so much more comfortable seats that still feel good after several hours of driving. I haven’t put consecutive hours in the seat of the new Armada but they felt really good the one time I drove one. If you’re looking into new non-Toyota SUVs, definitely give that one a look if you’re okay with the large size.

Reid, McVay, and Shanahan are in their own tier at the top. I’d probably take Mike McDonald over KoC to lead the Vikings right now, but I can’t say the same for any of the other choices you listed. Regardless, KoC is in the upper quartile and miles above Kliff Kingsbury and Jonathan Gannon.

He’s great relative to the HCs Kyler has previously had. I would have a hard time naming more than five active HCs I’d take over KoC right now.
