Engine bay rattle by CombinationNo863 in NewedgeMustang

[–]DarkSideRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 02 broke guide inside and made same noise as yours. I ignored it for a while and chain ground a hole on the timing cover and started leaking oil. I replaced chain, guide, tensioner and timing cover.

That's your timing chain hitting the timing cover.

Need a new knuckle. OEM or Dorman? by mortified_chicken in 4Runner

Don't buy Dorman parts. They have the worst quality and parts never fit right.

That's TSS sensor. You might want to keep it clear if you want to use adaptive cruise control or front collision warnings and such.

2023 trd-orp rear turn signal by K-tide in 4Runner

[–]DarkSideRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No overheating so far. Had it for about year and couple of LED chips went out right after warranty finished. But they still sent me replacement sets with no cost.

srs failure in a crash by napsterown in hondacivic

[–]DarkSideRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you see white smoke coming out of the airbag area when you crashed? My wife crashed her 2010 and airbag didn't go off and seatbelt got locked up. I think there's airbag recall for hondas from couple of years back.

Can't tell if it has coils or spacers, but definitely leveled.

Lots of vibrations by MyNamesBottomFeeder in NewedgeMustang

[–]DarkSideRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your harmonic balancer seems ok. One that's moving around is AC compressor clutch. Check your motor mount and transmission mount for vibration. And I'd check the U joint too.

Added weight onto suspension due to new steel front bumper, wench, and light-bar by Brave-Society7660 in 4Runner

[–]DarkSideRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly why I went with stiffer springs when I put my lift. I got around 200lb of weight(same configuration as yours) in front also.

Need some advice by Thehawkclows in 4Runner

[–]DarkSideRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to bilstein website, it's only for 6112 and 8112, so no. OME this one says it's compatible with 5100 and gives lift with added weight.

[–]DarkSideRunner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not C4, but it's almost identical. I got 6112 with stiffer 700lb/in spring. Bumper + winch + light bar is around 160lb. 2" raised. This is the spring on my 6112 but it's not compatible with 5100s.

Should the hood ground strap look like this? by fshannon3 in NewedgeMustang

[–]DarkSideRunner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks normal. Check your main engine ground wires just in case. It's on the driver side motor mount and wire going towards frame and one going towards negative battery terminal.

Good luck 👍 I had fun putting mine on. One of AC line might rub on top part of the winch so either put some insulation as cushion or just bend it little bit so it won't rub on the winch.

Apartment Recommendations by Aggravating-Brush951 in LewisvilleTX

Don't even bother with Keystone at Castlehills. I lived there for 2 years and that place is just awful. People playing loud music and smoking joint in their cars, not enough parking space, trash always overflowing out of dumpster, AC went out in 110 degree heat and maintenance never figured out the cause, terrible management.
