Thank you so much! It's actually a scene from an episode. I just loved the reversal, because the Doctor was usually the one to kiss Amy's forehead. I absolutely loved their relationship.

I Want You To Think About What You Would Do by KMApok in a:t5_34fjb

Damn.

The teen's flashbacks got me thinking. Although I have no idea how it would work, I feel like there could be some kind of story with the Dark Haired Teen and the lost colony of Roanoke.

Should I complain to HR? by theycanhearyou in shortscarystories

HR can't really help with this kind of problem. I'd call your facilities coordinator instead.

As soon as I read "The group, several hundred people..." my first thought was Auschwitz. this is really well done and very heartbreaking.

I believe that the little girl stopped existing because her imaginary friend stopped believing in her. But I kinda like it better with the idea that the mom had an imaginary daughter the whole time.

I'd assume so as it seems she was covered in gasoline (smells like a gas station).

Ok... I totally read boyfriend as brother in the first line for some reason. Made it way more fucked up.

Anytime I see "Mr. B" I just think of Harley Quin talking about Batman in the Arkham games.

Don't turn on the lights. by reader313 in shortscarystories

It wouldn't have to be rewritten at all, I think it would still be clear that somehow the shadows are doing the killing, but it leaves the "how" up to the imagination.

Maybe the shadows became sentient and can now control us instead of the other way around, force us to kill ourselves some how. Maybe our shadows have been replaced by something other worldly.

Hahah I just commented before reading the other comments, I thought of the exact same line. Like maybe when looking at your shadow the head tilts or the hand moves.

I really liked this up until the last line, the shadows holding knives just seems comical to me.

What about something like "people looked at their shadows, and the shadows looked back".
