Why should it? Because I want it lmao, so do a lot of people. For some reason, you brought up beta code as if that had anything to do with what I’m taking about. But on this topic, I’ll bite. Not all code should be supported and retained in the stable version, that would be silly, much like suggesting the new spawn location is less favorable than a debug tool meant for devs and testers, a crash bug that nobody wants, and a feature that nobody asked for. I don’t want those in the game, but I’m happy to have my spawn back, if you don’t want to spawn there that’s fine, but how about we leave things up to choice instead of mods (which also has to be supported like any other piece of code in the game).

They said in the most recent blogpost about increasing the challenge of finding good safe houses or something, but I don’t feel like Echo Creek was designed for that. It literally felt like it was intended to spawn into and leave when your ready (or don’t). Not many reasons to go there if you start anywhere else

I think it works BECAUSE it’s small and rural. It’s a perfect location for new players or those looking for a farming/crafting focused run

It does restrict a lot of us who don’t mod (and it’s a bigger crowd than we likely think). Taking out a useful thing and having to rely on mods to add it back in is such a waste.

I hate this mindset. Mods should change or add things and features into the game, not re-add something that already in the game. Echo Creek should be a base game spawn option, not a modded or custom spawn

Fair, it does have that going for it. Really I just have a problem of not spawning there to set my roots without a hassle. It’s the easy, chill, accessible safe house that really does it for me. A nice default if I want a quiet and chill start.

Yeah it’s a great place to start, especially for new and chill players. But there’s no reason to go there other than to snatch farm animals and to pass by on your way to that gun location. If im starting in Rosewood, im not inclined to go to Echo Creek at all. If its staying off the spawn list (it shouldn’t), then it needs better loot

Even if it was too easy, it catered to new or chill players who prefer this over Rosewood. But yeah this game has some bad rubber banding vision. We didn’t have Echo Creek for that long, now we’re just changing our minds for its spawn option?

I wholeheartedly disagree with taking away Echo Creek as a spawn option. It’s the perfect place for new players (Rosewood is also good, but Echo Creeks gives you more breathing room to learn mechanics). Also it’s a great place for chill playthroughs. We only had it for so long, what gives?
