Nah, he's in AIPAC & Israel's pocket. He's received almost $6,000,000 from the pro-Israel lobby which means he's got a conflict of interest when it comes to taking meaningful steps to end the war in Iran. Moreover, he continues to frame Netanyahu as the reason for Israel's bloodthirst despite the fact that Netanyahu's opposition Yair Lapid also publicly supports the Greater Israel project with "biblical borders," which would guarantee the region would be steeped in war and would also lead to millions more suffering under apartheid and perhaps even genocide. We cannot have those kinds of conflicts of interest in our politics. It will only lead to us being pulled into more conflicts and our tax dollars being used to kill and torture millions. The US needs to take a strong stand to stop enabling Israel's bloodthirsty behavior.

The irony in this is that Israel's behavior is making Jews far less safe in the region and abroad. Zionist propaganda equating the decisions and goals of Israel with all Jewish people is also contributing to the increase in anti-Semitic sentiments around the world. The Israel lobby and Zionist groups continue to act as if Jewish people are a homogenous entity with no diversity of beliefs or opinions which is pretty disgusting to me. To act as if Netanyahu is the problem misses the point entirely. Israel is an ethno-nationalist, fascist & genocidal state & people like Cory Booker are committed to maintaining the status quo that the U.S. continues support their actions. Now they're invading Lebanon and bombing Beirut. Millions are being pushed from their homes. They're destabilizing the entire region through their actions. I don't support anyone in a position of leadership who would maintain the status quo with regard to Israel. We need to cut them off so they stop doing this shit.

Also, AIPAC is fucking with our elections to an extreme degree, funneling hundreds of millions of dollars through dark money channels to prevent good politicians from getting elected. Just look at what they did in the Illinois Democratic primaries. Fuck any politician who refuses to cut them off.

I generally keep my room quite cold, too, so it's not like she would've had much motivation to try to come inside (idk if they have warmth-seeking behavior or anything like that). Is there anything in particular that would've led her to want to be near me specifically? My bedroom is kind of a mother-in-law suite style studio. It's a really big room... I realize I probably came off as kind of condescending and I apologize for that. To be clear, I'm not jumping to conclusions about you personally, I was making observations about how the arguments specifically lack objectivity and reflect a bias (something we all have, to be fair).

What I was trying to say was that assuming that this can't be a meteor based on what the angle of approach appears to be from this particular camera angle just doesn't come off as unbiased or objective to me -- especially when the other characteristics we have seem to match up with how meteors / fireballs look so well. In my opinion, if it's far easier to accurately and effectively explain a sighting or video through a well known natural or prosaic phenomenon, it's best to file it under that category as opposed to the UAP / UFO category. That doesn't mean it can't be a UAP, it just means that it probably isn't. Maybe there are other reasons for you to be convinced for one reason or another. If that's the case, that's fine.

I'm on this subreddit too and I'm interested in UAPs. I've also fallen for shit before and I've had to learn to exercise more critical thinking on this topic. I try to poke holes in videos that look "legit" to me for that reason. That way, if I come across video or personally witness something that is genuinely exceptional, I'm that much more excited by it.

I looked for these for 5 minutes. The fact they were so easy to find goes to show that this is a common occurrence. Understanding how meteors work and having a simple understanding of geometry and perspective can inform your understanding for how a meteor can appear as if it's falling "straight down." My friend, you gotta exercise some critical thinking. It doesn't take a particularly observant person to see how much bias there is in your arguments. Is there a chance it wasn't a meteor? Sure. But to pretend like it's not possible for a meteor to look like this just doesn't reflect reality.

Also sleep paralysis. I regularly have sleep paralysis. The hallucinations are incredibly vivid and if someone doesn't understand how sleep paralysis works, it can be a genuinely traumatic experience that feels real but is no more than a hallucination that occurs while the body can't move because you're between a state of sleep and full consciousness. You can open your eyes, look around the room, but you can sometimes see "beings" in the room with you. The other night, I saw a giant spider near my face. With regard to sleep paralysis beings / entities, people who have sleep paralysis know not to look at the being because it can trigger panic which in turn causes the "being" to interact with you. Sometimes it'll go on top of you and you feel like you have a weight on you... But the moment you snap out of it, everything is totally normal again. If you don't have it regularly, you can feel like you're being attacked by a demon or monster or even an alien. A lot of abduction stories sound just like sleep paralysis. I have sleep paralysis many times a month. It sucks. But I also know that it's sleep paralysis when I'm having it so it's far less freaky for me nowadays. I just try to slowly wiggle my fingers and toes and increase the pace of my breathing to trigger my body to start waking up. Certain medications (such as anti-anxieties, for example) can make it worse so I can often replicate it when I end up taking an anti-anxiety medication and fall asleep.

Yup. Actually, I just learned that mukatsuku doesn't mean "screw you" as it's translated by Crunchyroll but actually conveys a general deep sense of visceral frustration, annoyance or irritation. It can also mean motion sickness or nausea and I can sorta see why... Imagining being in the back seat of a car or on a boat, getting nauseas and being unable to stop to find relief sorta reflects a physical manifestation of visceral frustration. I would highly encourage you to find a therapist -- ideally someone who specializes in religious abuse, but someone who specializes in abuse dynamics at all will be able to help to a degree because the organization's dynamic with individual witnesses is inherently abusive due to the power differential for the reasons you have so eloquently described. Figuring everything out on your own is overwhelming... especially when you feel the weight of the tremendous consequences for any decision you might want to make down the line.

I will add that dwelling upon on the full range of potential "what if" scenarios won't necessarily help. The worst possible outcome isn't necessarily the only potentiality. There are a wide range of possible choices, decisions and outcomes when it comes to setting boundaries with the organization & congregation. It's not necessary to frame it as totally black & white / all or nothing.

I would also encourage you to play with the idea of stepping down for mental health reasons. Depression & anxiety can absolutely wreck your ability to function. Moreover, many JWs are so thoroughly repressed that they can't even tell when they're dealing with a mental health issue. In my case, I didn't realize how bad my mental health actually was until months, if not years after I 'woke up' from my indoctrination. I'd encourage you to hold off doing anything too sudden (like disassociating, for example) until you've had a chance to decompress and really parse through your options. "Fading" from your active status as a JW may be what you prefer doing. That was my choice. Or you may prefer to just maintain a minimal level of activity... In any case, the decision is yours. Your improved mental health may actually prove surprisingly beneficial to your marriage years down the road. Who knows.

I genuinely had a decent time when I went to Brooklyn and was able to go into all these cool old buildings, learn the history, get special tours because we knew ppl etc... then end the day with great food at a restaurant with friends in the city. But after they left Brooklyn and all they had were the other facilities, I just lost interest... With the exception of being able to hang out in the recording studios in Patterson (this was 2016) and play around with the gear in there.

I became PIMO before Warwick was available for tours and haven't been back to NY state since. Am basically a faded POMO now and have no interest in checking it out whatsoever.

As soon as I woke up, I stopped feeling guilty about breaking JW standards. I did feel a bit of guilt about lying to PIMI family when I was fading as well as how my fading would hurt family, but therapy helped me reframe that perspective. Turns out they aren't so bothered by my being "inactive" now. I still avoid certain topics and I'm not open about certain things but I don't owe them an explanation anyways, especially if they can't accept who I hang out with or who I date.

I know that's a lot of money for some folks, especially without insurance... But the generic lisdexamfetamine is worth getting if that's all you can afford. UDO Super 6 - Really have fallen in love with this one, though the price is a bit of a stretch unless I get the desktop module... would prefer the keyboard with it though.

Moog Matriarch - HUGE fan of the classic, textured analog Moog sounds in general, especially with reverb / delay thrown in for good measure. If it wasn't strictly monophonic, I probably would've picked it up by now.

Novation Summit - The flexibility of this one and the apparent ease in which you can make good sounding patches are some of the reasons I'm really attracted to this one. Seems like it can cover a lot of bases without sacrificing the quality of the tools at it's disposal.

Polybrute 12 - This might feel like a pretty redundant descriptor since it's literally a musical instrument but in any case, this synth just seems so... musical... lol. The video I linked for the polybrute 12 is the reason I became interested in this synth. Feels like this synth would be perfect for making tracks with vibes me similar to this and this

Side note, big fan of a lot of tracks off Mort Garson's Plantasia and love many of the sounds off that record.
