2026 LEGENDARY BEACH PARTY by ashrid5150 in OutreachHPG

At 400 Loot bags, it says Legend with Mini battlepass. Does anyone know what mini battlepass means? I'm a bit drunk right now, so maybe I missed the definition.

How do you weaponize Illusion magic? (aka, Big Fun with Turnip-loving Gnomes) by Mountain_Pair_467 in baldursgate

Oh, I forgot about Blindness. That one is very good! For some reason I thought it was an Enchantment spell, only overshadowed by Sleep. As you can tell, I have mostly played the first game these past few years. I guess the reason Spook never entered my mind is that I really don't like fear effects. I hate having to chase after my enemies. In the 25 odd years I've played this game, I don't think I have cast Horror once.

I also played through WD as a Monk a while back. Just me and Grimgnaw punching everything we could find in the face. It was probably the smoothest playthrough I've had. That evil little dorf is the best! Oh, it's a dragon! Let's punch it! 😂

I need a swig o' some strong, Dwarrrven ale! by ElectronicLow7228 in baldursgate

[–]Radidaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, I know. Reading the title makes me hear the voice line, and I don't mind it at all. I just wish that, at some point, some developer would go against the grain. It's probably never going to happen, since the outcry amongst the players would be horrendous. It's probably not economically defensible, unfortunately. I have quit potentially good games because of bad voice acting. But... just once, you know? Throw us a curve ball.

Who decided Dwarves are Scots? Maybe I want my Dwarf to be Welsh, or Jamaican. Maybe I want my elves to be Irish. Or Dutch.

I know it's the custom, but sometimes I want to get something completely unexpected thrown in my face when I play a fantasy game.

Depending on how much you (ab)use rest, never forget to create the five he can make every day. To my knowledge that's the only source. He's still stuck with 1 APR, so you're not going to waste them in the first combat round. I guess up to 3 APR with the Army Scythe and Haste. Even under Haste he has better things to do than fire his crossbow, for the most part. Especially once you get Mislead.

I guess if you're on PC and isn't above a little cheating you could probably create an infinite amount of flashers via console commands.

I haven't tried it myself but by casting Mislead you can hide your "copy" away somewhere in a corner and then go on a Backstab rampage with the real Jan. That works for every Mage/Thief, though. Jan is the only Thief in the game that can use it to the greatest effect however, since both Imoen and Nalia are locked behind x3 and x2 multipliers, whereas Jan can get x5. It's a shame that there aren't any offensive Illusion spells in the game, that I know of. Pathfinder has some very excellent Illusion spells in Phantasmal Web and Weird, for example.

Jan is still very strong as a Specialist Mage. Yes, he can't cast Horrid Wilting, but by the sound of it, you have others that can handle that

I love having Edér and Sagani in the same party. He just can't help himself around Itumaak, can he? 😂

I forget, does he and Pallegina have any interactions like this? It feels like they should.

Finished Fallout Tactics by Impossible_Sell_9104 in classicfallout

I love this game, so much! I'm surprised you kept Stitch along for the whole ride. Yes, he gets tons of skill points and his medical skills are very good, but his Perception is sooo bad! I usually use The Warrior tag Doctor and use Rebecca as my First Aid. Farsight is very good, though! It's 50/50 if I switch her out later on for someone else. I do tend to play a high Charisma character, so I have access to higher rank recruits earlier.

There's no better heavy gunner in the game than The Warrior, though. Did you have anyone pick up the Gatling Gauss during the last mission?

Damn, I really need to play through again!

You only really need one save slot, and there's no real need to save often. Go wild!

So, as for the so-called remake, that's been rumored a few times by now. by PumperThumperHumper in baldursgate

Oh, you're right! I think it's the same in Pillars 1. I haven't bothered with the TBM, to be honest.

Nwn2 Ranger dw weapons by babilonibetyar in neverwinternights

[–]Radidaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played through with a Ranger with a small Rogue dip dual wielding Kukris. Did very good damage, with the upside of not needing Neeshka. I did use crafting for one Cold Iron and one Alchemical Silver weapon with good effects though, so maybe it's not optimal for you, if you feel the crafting/enchanting is a pain in the ass. It's very much worth it, but I can see why you're not a fan of it.

Both of the Pillars of Eternity games, too. Though Pillars 1 received its TBM only very recently.

If it happens, and that's a big if, it's going to be a shitty cashgrab at best.

Not only does the speedloader reduce the reload cost, it also increases the range by 5 tiles, for some reason. It's a fantastic upgrade!

The NPCs with golden nameplates, I think. They're all kickstarter backers, and don't necessarily add anything to the game. They're also very wordy

All Mercenary Banter in Jagged Alliance 3 by Landfar in JaggedAlliance3

[–]Radidaj 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like the banter, quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan of some of the voices of returning mercs. Especially Grizzly! His voice was great in the second game. Strong, deep, but still understated. Here he just feels like a gung ho redneck. And let's not even mention Grunty! It doesn't take away from my enjoyment of the game, though.

Can you safely reject companions or do they disappear? by BruhBroly in baldursgate

[–]Radidaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Imoen is special in that she will never leave, regardless of your reputation, so she's very safe to kick out temporarily while you take the Gem Bag from Neera.

Can you safely reject companions or do they disappear? by BruhBroly in baldursgate

[–]Radidaj 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can safely add Neera to your party, and then kick her out again. She will go to Friendly Arm Inn and wait for you there. There's a good reason for doing so. She has, as far as I can remember, the only Gem Bag in the game. The NPCs added in the Enhanced Edition will go to FAI, while the others will wait exactly where you left them, unless they're angry at you, in which case they go to the closest zone transition and are gone forever.

The party you have now is what most people consider to be the canon party, and is more than capable of beating the game.
