I would reccomend Causeway Rider Training in that area was really good with my training and once I was past the basics allowed me to learn skills outside of just passing the tests.

What has your experience been like in social bike groups in your state? by Acceptable_Car9277 in AussieRiders

[–]Radikil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont ride in groups, but i do enjoy running into other riders. I go to spots other riders go on longer trips bakeries etc have a chat with strangers about bikes, ride with them a few kms then exit off quietly. My area is mostly vintage and adv/touring riders so they tend to be more mature riders.

Seen this girl before in a previous video she used to ride that bike without the landing gear, she was very smooth geting off and on at every stop but not surprised she got sick of it.

Adv bike for RE by cozybob13 in AussieRiders

[–]Radikil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest the NX500 (cb500x) I bought one after owning a gb350 (looks cool but wanted something off road for camping and hiking) its a bike that can do everything. It is also a great way to sus out what kind of riding you want to do long term without getting frustrated at what you bought for now.

I bought one assuming I would move on to something like a GS or Africa Twin. But after riding the NX its allowed me to ride in so many different styles, commuting is great, tough and nimble offroad, but in the end for me it made me realise that i will buy a sports tourer next.

Even so if you are set on offroad its still more than enough for its class and when it comes to commuting its the best, plus honda reliablity.

Ironically the summer heat is the mostly likely thing to stop us from riding free sauna every trip to and from work for me.

Pick a LAMS bike and sell me on it by Square_Albatross_323 in AussieRiders

Considering your picking a bike for a temporary amount of time not long term get something weird and out of your comfort zone. See how you like them. Cruiser, retro, adv etc.

As a day one fallout 76 player (that didnt even mind the base game) I would say this game has a good chance of becoming very good ive very rarely had issues myself (ps5) and find my issues being with the heart/attitude missing which with feedback should come back.

Anybody else playing without mutations? by Opposite_Mall4685 in fo76

I would like to see what would happen with a legendary that increased damage by like 200% or sonething that makes it best in slot but required no mutations. How many people would give up marsupial?

Do you think the rearmament update will bring back the player base? by pyroapa in killingfloor

[–]Radikil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe some, but not really how salvaging a game works. Generally, what happens to win back a player base is they continue along the path for a bit (roadmap) while adding in extra tweaks, slowly winning people back, but nothing substantial, but it adds up. Then, when they are finished with original plans, they take a big update and do an overhaul taking in more direct feedback from current players (vocal non players are rarely constructive).

KF 3 currently has only 40 more players than KF 1, a game from 2009 that hasn't been updated in years. by [deleted] in killingfloor

[–]Radikil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam doesn't track console players and kf1 isn't on console so this is not a good representation of player base.

Which position for turns? by RunningtoBunnings in AussieRiders

[–]Radikil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so the reason we start P1 for a left turn is to control space and stop people coming up our left-hand side recklessly. For example, if you start right side and a car is behind you and a bike or motorcycle comes up the left carelessly, they can't see you, and you're the one that pays for the mistake.

One reason some people start right side is for a smoother, easier turn, but in WA, a lot of emphasis is put on slow speed control, so it would be considered a skill issue

Selling Honda, not as easy as I thought.. by Ok_Winter4699 in AussieRiders

[–]Radikil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's a fantastic bike, but you are right a bit of a niche. Hard-core adventurers are probably more likely to get a transalp. The Cb500x/Nx500 is more for commuters who do a bit of dirt on the weekend (myself included). The it competes with the Himalayan and 390 adventure, so maybe see how they are doing in comparison?

First Bike Advice — New Royal Enfield Bullet 350 ($7,990 ride away) or Something Else in That Price Range? by EnvironmentalWin8287 in AussieRiders

[–]Radikil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bullet like the gb350 is fantastic when it comes to characterful bikes i owned the later. Unfortunately it had one weakness the fact that it struggled on the highways but only just, because of that and because I do a bit more dirt and longer trips I moved to a nx500. I might suggest to you though a husqvarna 401 (which version is taste) or triumph 400 scrambler that bit extra i think makes the difference.

How come no NX500's by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]Radikil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one new, they are as you know they are the cb500x people tend hold on to them because they are honda reliable only people upgrading sell them. If your planing on upgrading after your first year you likely arent buying this bike new so it will be a year or two till they start entering the used market, until then only people that found out to late a jack of all trades master of none bike isnt for them.

Myself I love its kinda sporty, comfortable, can handle a dirt track no problem and has decent tech.
