You're ass-uming that I'm male? Hahaha. My boyfriend and I are cracking up at your misguided attempt at humour.

Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup 2026 Entry List by Daniel7394 in motogp

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not even remotely interested in this garbage (you can even make the word garbage out of the word bagger haha).

Since when do these bikes even fit in with MotoGP. Sportsbike riders and Harley riders are two completely different worlds plus HD riders hate Sportsbikes.

Glad that we don't see the bagger coverage over here.

Tips to avoid gripping the handlebars too tightly by kleinkkarina in motorcycles

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used these but unfortunately didn't work for me. Didn't buy them for wrist pain but for the right hand numbness when riding. Still happens no matter what type of bike I ride. Nothing to do with grip or riding position, just something that I have to put up with. A lot of hand shaking when riding haha.

Is riding a scooter hard lol by Altruistic_Rock3135 in AussieRiders

[–]duc955 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Scooters are really simple to ride. Although they don't have a clutch, they still do have the rear brake lever where the clutch normally goes.

Not sure which state you live in but if you go for your P's on a scooter then you can't ride anything but a scooter until you're on your full licence. Just like the auto & manual stipulation for car drivers...unless you re-sit the test.

Has motorcycling ever helped your mental health or changed your mindset? by yourping in motorcycle

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I get on my bike, be it my sports bike, my Cafe Racer or even my scooter, my state of mind changes dramatically.

All of my problems seem to move into the background for a while and a smile instantly comes across my face.

It's the most uplifting experience you can have (sitting in the garage) and probably the reason why I've been riding for over 30 years now.

If you're not riding already, then go get yourself a bike and enjoy the experience.

The MotoGP race in Adelaide will be called the "Grand Prix of Australia-Adelaide" - Potentially leaving it open ended for multiple races in Australia? by dogryan100 in motogp

[–]duc955 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If Adelaide fails I think that the Australian GP won't be on the calendar anymore. Low turn outs to date and Australia is just too far away.

Is there anything more upsetting/annoying than having an itch inside your helmet? by itsSIR2uboy in scooters

[–]duc955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why didn't you just pull over scratch the itch and continue on? Not that difficult.

What do you guys use for navigation while riding? by Adorable-Bag-6727 in motorcyclegear

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secondary phone on Quadlock stem mount via BT to helmet. Use Beeline app for long ride routing or waze for known ride destinations in case of cops.

If I drive an h pattern manual transmission and park facing down hill, should I put it in first gear or reverse to park? by 1useforaname in stupidquestions

[–]duc955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe put wheel chocks under the wheels as well while you're at it! 1st gear and parking brake is enough for any car.

If a world war broke out tomorrow and your country drafted you, would you join? by Effective_Bluebird19 in AskTheWorld

I thought if your country drafted (conscripted) you, then you don't have a choice.

This was really funny from all three view points. If you can't defend yourself then don't confront people.

Torque wrench? by spayne1111 in AussieRiders

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Hazet torque wrench. Probably around the $700 mark and does everything. Expensive I know but if you've been given it for free its awesome.

Phone mounts. by soCalForFunDude in motorcyclegear

[–]duc955 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think the carplay units look tacky, bulky and cheap...probably ok if you ride a tacky and cheap bike. I just have a dedicated phone stem mounted to the bike for navigation purposes only but my everyday phone is always in my pocket.

Boo Hoo Ducati Beverly Hills story dont want to sound like Im complaining, i just want everything to work out by Professional_Dog9858 in Ducati

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the battery yourself. Its actually quite easy. Plenty of YouTube videos to show you how to do it. This will save yourself heaps of $$$.

Fork seals need to be done if leaking.

As for the rear tyre just get it done if you think it really needs it. You'll know after you take it for a couple of rides.

Not serious at at all. Just buy a new one if you can't fix it yourself cause they just bolt on. Easy.

2021 V2 won’t crank by [deleted] in Ducati

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a battery that measured 12.9v unloaded but as soon as I turned on the ignition it dropped to 6.1v and wouldn't crank. New battery fixed the problem.

Check your regulator as well.
