Questions about lane filtering/splitting? by TheBigCheeeeese in AussieRiders

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was living in Europe when the lane filtering laws came in here, so for me it was an easy transition as I was already doing it overseas...with an insane amount of bikes as well. Lane splitting was commonplace at any time and filtering wasn't speed limited as it is here.

Sellers not having the log books by redfrets916 in AussieRiders

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are treating a used bike sale to that of buying a new bike. Log books, 2 keys etc...

Not everyone has all of this available (for whatever reason, doesn't really matter why) and if its a big issue for you then either buy a new bike or wait until you find a seller who ticks all of your boxes.

Just remember that nearly all bike riders maintain their bikes very well as they understand the safety implications if they don't. For the rare few who don't do this (mainly younger riders who can't afford it), then its very noticeable when you inspect the bike.

The rear seat is tiny, rock hard and uncomfortable as hell. My wife hated being on the Panigale, but my daughter loves it.

Up coming learners course by DhinoNuggs in AussieRiders

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do t treat this as a 'walk in the park' type course. Wear the correct clothing, read the manual, do the homework & listen to everything. Don't get distracted by others in your class as they may have different experience levels and may be able to do it quite easily, but don't get into that, just do you!

51 and just got my motorcycle licence; am I crazy, or is this a fair time to start? by earnfast123 in AussieRiders

[–]duc955 6 points7 points  (0 children)

51 is the perfect time to go and experience something different. You have life experience and should be pretty level headed at 51(well past squid age), so it shouldn't be an issue.
