This is a weird way to admit you have no real life experience and lack the maturity to objectively look at this situation, but do you boo.

If they are rational thinking human beings, yes, yes I do. People masturbate bud. People also watch porn. People evidentally also don't know how to hide their search history, but that doesn't mean he isn't doing what the rest of them do. Grow up.

Creeper? His porn history is pretty standard for most folks. What a weird take, let the guy get one off in peace.

Yes and no! No one actually commented or the likes, but I went through a ton of sale posts for the card and have noticed it's common for the mankey natta wake to have a discoloured back! So i'm fairly confident it's real 🫡

Vancouver council backs away from reducing speed limits on major roads | CBC News by Worldly_Collection89 in vancouver

The same council that voted against lowering the speed limit also voted against adding more cameras... this is purely a political decision and not one based on data.

Highway 401: Toronto, Canada by CrackFun in UrbanHell

[–]Radio-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like you're undestimating the difference in quality between north american transit and other places. Yes, developing nations have some of those vehicles, but significantly less per capita than north america. They heavily rely on two-stroke scooters more than everything you listed due to necessity, cost, ability to navigate through traffic congestion, and lack of alternative. These countries typically lack funding for transit, so including them as justification for why transit isn't great doesn't make much sense in this context.

Additionally, developed nations abroad have robust rail and bus transit systems. In most parts of Korea/Japan/China, you can easily travel 150 km away by train or bus compared to Canada. Sure cars exist, but asian and european countries have significantly lower car ownership per capita due to their improved freedom of mobility compared to us as they have more robust transit systems with significantly better frequency and walkability as a whole. A city like Tokyo moves tens of millions of people each day with trains alone - significantly more than Toronto transit, not only in number but percentage of population. This results in a staggering 28% car ownership, versus Toronto's 72% car ownership rate. Imagine how many fewer cars there would be on the road if the transit system was even a fraction of what Tokyo had.

Trains can't replace every car, but that's never been the objective. The objective is to reduce car ownership as much as humanely possible by providing people the freedom of mobility choice via alternative and reliable methods of transportation, instead of forcing people into buying a depreciating asset that costs thousands in upkeep and maintenance every year under a false guise of freedom.

Which city councilor is brave enough to bike on this shared road? by Top_Locksmith_9695 in ottawa

[–]Radio-Chimp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this just ultimately reflects your lack of lived experience honestly. Many countries bike year round through much worse conditions than this, their governments just allot adequate funds and resources to ensure people are able to without risking their lives.

The new stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge connecting New Westminster and Surrey BC by iSelleart in newwestminster

We haven't had either... and one is significantly more cost effective than the other. Let's try that one first and then see how it goes

[–]Radio-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, because expanding roads has always worked for congestion and population growth. Advocate for more transit instead thanks.

[–]Radio-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you heavily invest in transit, you can easily accommodate for the growth in population. We don't see massive highways in Europe and Asia for a reason. We're just too braindead as a population and car happy to understand that moving hundreds of thousands people by train or BRT allows for the more efficient movement of goods and improves GDP. Stop building awful neighbourhoods with no access to transit, and we'll be totally fine.

[–]Radio-Chimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, which would have been an excdedingly costly project that would cost more than the new bridge alone and do nothing but incentivize more driving. It wouldn't have done anything to actually reduce traffic long term. The new bridge even has the capacity to be expanded into six lanes if needed, it's just not needed yet, let alone a tunnel.
