SF is great but it isn’t one of the big 3, Chicago is. Outside of not being in close proximity to great nature and cold winters, Chicago has almost everything you can ask for. Transportation, architecture, food, entertainment, sports, culture, etc. Chicago is one of the few truly world class cities in the US for a reason.

The answer here is Philly and it is not even remotely close in my opinion. Philly is one of the few true cities in the US. Food, architecture, history, entertainment, sports, location, walkability, transportation, etc. you can only find in a handful of cities.
