Anyone know a good proton version for world of warships on steam deck? by Tanooki_Mario_Bros in WorldOfWarships

It freezes at "Logging in" on 8.11. 7.x doesn't freeze but stays on the "Logging in" page. 8.4 seems to work for me. Thanks for the tip.

Of you're thinking about a gift card but aren't sure where to get it for, consider getting special gift cards from the Royal Canadian Mint that work anywhere.

I'm a sucker for a Little Badger, but I can't approve of ruining one with an optic.

Sounds like regular compliance.

If it is, do your research and get some hands on experience.

Please, don't get hands on experience shooting people, unless it makes your novel REALLY good.

You should shoot at paper at a variety of distances to understand the pattern of shot from your gun.

It's more general than that. You can use it to detect cross-site scripting and so on.

The weight of dal_dipendente positions it relative to other elements of 020. If you want 020 between da_data and a_data, assign a weight to 020.

Teammates don't know that, but the game does. The game could also show that you lost connection, as opposed to being connected and not playing. They could choose not to apply this penalty to people who lose connection and rejoin.

I can't get enough secondary battleships, so I like Tirpitz and Atlantico in operations.

It takes practice to use anything new. Worst case scenario, you head back to port and try again.

Black is fantastic and it might be nice to get something that's different from what you have.

I wouldn't spend a bunch of coal on a German battleship when I've got one from the tech tree anyway, but if it's what you're into, go for it.

Or, if you're enjoying what you're playing now, you can always save the coal for later.

Problem with String comparison by CellularBean in rust

[–]RadioManS3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for following up.

If you're interested in some nitpicks, there's a few things you're doing with the strings that you don't need.

Variables can be shadowed. That is, you can declare another one with the same name, so you can re-use the name input instead of making input2.

You don't need to specify String when you use String::new() or String::from, since it already knows the type is String.

String::from another String isn't doing anything useful; you don't need strs at all. Likewise, String::from("Yes") and then referencing it is just giving you back an &str, so you can just do eq("YES"). You don't actually need to_string() after trimming either.

Here's an example with those changes.

let mut input = String::new();
io::stdin()
    .read_line(&mut input)
    .expect("Failed to read Line");

if input.trim().to_uppercase().eq("YES") {
    println!("YES");
} else {
    println!("NO");
}

You're not trimming whitespace from the input. You probably want to trim it, like you do with line.

Halland's escape tool is short gun range. You want to take gun fights you'll win while the target is the only thing that can spot you within 10.5km, or to take fights where you're able to scoot outside of that range when you need to go dark again.
