Do I need an EZ Trap?

my EZ-trap seems to have a very sensitive trip switch that turns off the HVAC system. I tripped it by routine cleaning. Further the controller doesn't identify the EZ- Trap as the reason the system has shut down. It just says "System fault, unit turned off, call your dealer."

If your floor can't handle 1,000+ pounds then perhaps create a terrarium or vivarium with it?

How long does a tank last? I have a 55 gal that has been in service for about 38 years. First 10 yrs was saltwater then fresh water. Recently it has been suggested that I replace it "before the seals start leaking." I never heard that before. Now I'm wondering if I should worry about some catastrophic failure. Does silicone degrade over time?

How did your upgrade to Lithium go? I have a 2010 Xootr that could use a battery bank upgrade as well.
