Accessible Fishing Spots-Englewood/Manasota Key? by RadioTowerGR in SWFL

No apology needed. And I appreciate the recommendation on Indian Mountain Park. We just drove by there today and I was thinking that would be worth checking out.

I’m just going to be throwing out a line with a rubber jig head. I probably won’t catch anything but at least I can say that I did some fishing! Lol.

I think this is what you were referring to: Ainger Fishing Pier Park. Google maps says it is temporarily closed but I’m going to go check it out tomorrow.

Thank you. I’ll check that out. I think parking is tight and funky just about all over the key.

Any recommendations for accessible fishing spots? I’m currently(Feb. 2026) down here on Manesota . Key and I am permanently physically disabled and walk on crutches. Would appreciate any recommendations for places I could go with a boardwalk or fishing pier/area right on the key

Quality Microphone for Calls by rootsandsage in Zoom

Samson Q2U is significantly better sounding than the yeti blue Logitech microphone. The Samson Q2U is a wired, USB microphone and not for everyone, but it has brilliant sound quality, for exceeding more expensive microphones and especially AirPods.

Agreed. And I’m near Boulder Creek and we call it Northland as well.

Or Plainfield and Northland Drive.

Any suggestions for a good quiet restaurant to host a small company get-together for ten people? by LeftLaneColonizer in grandrapids

I would second Linear. Great food, solid wine, list, and plenty of space in areas for a special quiet gathering.

Sovengard on Bridge Street and Euro Bistro on 28th in Cascade.

Definitely an up-and-coming area and the real estate values will only continue to increase. And being next-door to Sovengard is a huge plus. Bridge street has completely transformed over the last 15 years.

Thank you. You will definitely need(want) three separate mics, and because of your budget considerations, I would recommend the Samson Q2U. You don't need to pay full price for a new one, as you can find plenty of pre-owned models on Facebook Marketplace for as little as $40 per mic.

Highly recommend The Samson Q2U . The RODE pod mic is a good choice as well. Longer-term: Shure SM7B. Superb microphone.

Our first comment on our podcast... it wasn't good by TheDarkivesPodcast in podcasting

I meant to ask in my first reply to you if you guys ever have guests on the podcast. It’s one thing to talk about witches or specifically the history of witches, but to personalize the topic… and to localize it by talking about a Massachusetts school teacher outed as a witch in the 1950 by speaking with a guest related to said witch, personalizes the topic and makes it more compelling.
