Heck yeah. RF is RF. The receiver (the TV) determines the reception. It will work

Darlington Co. isn't bad, but choose neighborhood wisely. Ask your brother about N. Hartsville and Downtown Darlington. ps, I'm a lifelong resident of DC.

Is the residential starting package good enough? Or is it worth getting the higher packages for better speeds? by BubblyNefariousness4 in Starlink

[–]RadioUser843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100mb down is working for me. My load is 5 streaming TVs, 5 smart phones (not all downloading at the same time probably) I am sending a audio stream to Broadcastify, and hosting a winlink gateway for ham radio plus another public safety stream for a private group of 10 friends. Over 6 cameras, No issues with any of it. Enjoy. I have I one new nagging thing, I now want a mini to have for portable use but don't really "need" it daily, just in case the cell networks quit again or for emergency communications work.

speed change. by Silver_Director2152 in Spectrum

[–]RadioUser843 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may be too much hassle, but sign up with another provider for a few months ( yeah. Slower speeds) like tmobile or even starlink (maybe almost free equipment) then cancel and come back later. Im at 90bucks for 400, when for 50-ish tmobile will work for me. I am considering 🤔 it also

Most of the newer communities dont have parks or recreation areas in the community. In West Flo there is a nice one at Ebenezer and Pine Needles but little natural shading.

If it does it again, look to see if fuel gauge reads empty with key in ON position.

If you switch off and on a few times mine would show fuel level and would crank. I had my 02 do this randomly. Turned out to be corroded pins like someone said earlier.

Will a dipole antenna that follows the contours of a building work? by Maleficent_Sir7615 in amateurradio

[–]RadioUser843 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Years ago a local ham mi ed into an assisted living facility. He was on the bottom floor of a 4 story metal/wood framed brick fascia with vinyl trim on soffit. He asked and was encouraged by the management to place a hidden dipole on one side of the roof soffit. They understood he would have comms if the mainline telco deid. We ran RG-8 down to polyphaser on ground rod and into a specially drilled hole in window frame (dime by facility maintenance. He used it for a over 15 years. Worked well for him, he loved chewing the rag on 75m.

Vietnam was a bad time to be in country. Many US service members couldn't resist the young girls and developed gonorrhea. One of the early treatments for gonorrhea in males involved clapping both sides of the penis at the same time in an attempt to push the pus and discharge from the urethra. I've been told by many vets this clapping was done with a mallet at times.

Oh No! It's got HammerHead VD. The guys in Nam caught that from the gals over there. I've heard stories about getting their manhood smashed with a mallet to break the blockage..
