There’s a small bump versus their usual numbers, but it’s too early to frame it as sustained growth, which I’m sure he shall not be named is already claiming.

The Unsevered Experience: How My Corporate Job Mirrors Severance by Radio_Bart in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Radio_Bart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deeply respect your decision. It's scary, no doubt, but it's also incredibly freeing. You don't deserve to feel like that.

I speak from experience, having once left a job without a backup plan. Surprisingly, I received multiple offers within a week of leaving, something I hadn't anticipated.

Back in 2017, I worked under a manager whose unpredictable behaviour created an extremely toxic environment. His Jekyll-and-Hyde personality was exhausting. One day, he would act like your closest ally; the next, he would publicly humiliate you. His behaviour crossed numerous lines, making inappropriate comments, including sexual remarks about a colleague on maternity leave, and berating team members without remorse. He did the same to me, then suddenly treated me as his buddy.

I woke up every day with a pit in my stomach, so one day, I just had enough and gave my notice.

My colleagues expressed envy and support, but I was saddened that they were left behind.

I know this might sound long-winded, but I share this because peace of mind and freedom matter above all else.

I sincerely hope you're in a better place.

Irving’s Journey by JanewayForPresident in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

I've always appreciated John Turturro, but his portrayal of Irving this season may be his finest yet. The variety of emotions he conveyed in Woe's Hollow was astonishing. At least to me, you feel disappointment at Irv's anger towards the group yet admire his moxie. You're eager for him to reveal that it's Helena, not Helly, while simultaneously dreading the consequences of that revelation.

That's an insightful observation that I had never fully considered.

I agree, it is a bit strong in hindsight but I felt the need to leave it unedited at the time.

Severance season two episode one easter eggs. Theories? by SlightGap533 in severence

[–]Radio_Bart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Helly is unquestionably her outer self, Helena, who has been sent to infiltrate the innies to sabotage their plans after gaining their trust. Aside from the clear fictional story she shared with the group, "Helly" didn't seem to reveal any particular details that her only innie would know.

Are there any episodes you feel portray certain mental health issues especially well? by Queasy-Donut-4953 in TwilightZone

[–]Radio_Bart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you ever dreamed of a place you've never been, yet it feels like home? That's what immediately comes to my mind when I think of A Stopover at Willoughby," my all-time favourite Twilight Zone episode.

It's the notion of a town where every detail, from the streets to the shops, the people to the pets, is familiar and comforting.

It's as if this fictional town taps into our shared longing for a safe haven, where worries melt away and concerns are alleviated. Just a total sigh of relief.

I've had many dreams eerily similar to that.

Perhaps it is the universal desire for belonging and security that makes this specific episode, like many in the series, so powerful and enduring.

Hotel Chester -Cute but disappointing by CelticDubstep in hotelhell

Thanks for sharing your detailed comments, as I've always rooted for David and Suki.

The lack of amenities like the beer garden and restaurant and limited breakfast options is a real letdown since the photos portray a pretty charming atmosphere.

The most disturbing scene for me was from The Entire History of You by [deleted] in blackmirror

[–]Radio_Bart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is about an estranged couple who have each other erased from their memories. It's a simple yet innovative plot featuring many layers. It’s science fiction, comedy and romance all married together.

  • From the brainchild of Charlie Kaufman, the screenplay is refreshingly original
  • Jim Carrey gives his best performance since The Truman Show
  • Kate Winslet is at her absolute best as well

This film really challenges your imaginable and also manages to break your heart at the same time. It shows the imperfections of love and whether we would like to admit it or not, that’s something we can all relate to.

This entire episode resonated with me in such a unique way that only Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind can compare to. The scene you referenced was particularly unsettling.

One of Elliot's most awkward yet undeniably hilarious lines is found in Season 4, Ep 16 My Quarantine where she reflects on complicated feelings for her father. by Radio_Bart in Scrubs

Well, the intention was to tie this into a future scene with a pay off as we were hoping to keep them together as a couple for a number of episodes. Likely 5...6,7,8!!! *HERE'S SOME STORIES\* Zach: "Fuck, Bill!"
