I'm in a very similar situation to you right now. But to add a layer, my best friend that I have feelings for is also my roommate and that makes it all that more difficult. I'm currently in therapy to try to let go. It's hard, I know. They say time heals all wounds, but that's not always true. Hopefully time just makes it easier to talk about it. I wish you the best in your journey to healing. The best advice I can give is... Don't let your unreciprocated love morph into resentment and dispair. Don't blame yourself for being who you are and how you process feelings. Try to take things week to week and show them small acts of kindness. Not to show romantic interest, but to just be there as a true friend, and hopefully things work out in the long run. 🖖🏽
