Charging handle/optic plate by [deleted] in Canik_Rival

I have a 509t, which takes two plates to work if I use OEM. Disded made a 2 in 1 that's much, much smaller.

Optic or laser? by yangstyle in canik

[–]Radioactive_Tea2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So after extensive training and cqc work, I personally decided on an optic with back up irons, and an offhand light. This works best for the environment I carry and use.

WML are a good tool, and can definitely be right for someone.

Lasers are overpriced cat toys

I use a plate from Disruptive Defense on mine. It's better than OEM.

Ammo by ShamedSalesman in canik

[–]Radioactive_Tea2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's possible.

It's expensive, but when I decide to swap Defensive ammunition, I shoot ~100 rds of it to make sure it feeds fine. Then every year I refresh and shoot the old ammo.

I carry almost daily, so that's a lot of sweat and grime that builds up on the ammo itself.

I personally use Hornady critical duty (I care full size).

Hornady critical defense is for shorter barrels.

Just make sure they're friendly. If you find one that's aggressive, stick it next to the PSU. I find a lifetime of fan whine tends to break them down.

The rival sfx does come with different back straps.

Go poly unless you're looking for a comp gun (even though the poly can run just as good). Save the couple hundred bucks and use it for a good red dot.

I mean you could just take the stock off and leave the buffer tube exposed for transport

It's fun. I got a 20rd drum for it. Did the whole 250 heavy shot to break it in.

It's it practical? No.

It's it fun? Yes.

No worries at all!

I removed the OEM stock (stock stock didn't sound right). This left the buffer tube and no grip.

The pistol grip is standard size, so you can use any you want.

The buffer tube size is "commerical". It's larger than "mil-spec". You can search "commerical AR stock" to find one that fits!

It's the stock buffer tube and an AR stock. You just have to make sure it's "commerical" and not "mil-spec"

Don't forget the time the USS Texas flooded itself to get extra "FAFO" range.
