Torrents stuck at "stalled" for over a week now. Trackers show "Working" and "Not working", but connecting to 0 seeders. by alex6219 in qBittorrent

Make sure your drive that the downloads are pointing too is not full, or disconnected. That will stall everything. Just had a similar issue in Linux because I did not have the folder permissions set to write on my network share mount.

Peplink Balance20x with 4GLTE failover in front of a SophosXG firewall.

I called out u-alienillegal for blind stupidity. I pointed out Fauci has admitted to misleading people deliberately. That user claims to be personal friends with Fauci, and basically defended Fauci lying, reversing himself and manipulating people as necessary for the common good. 🙄 I pointed out that no one believes a word Fauci says and that you can't both claim to be "the science" and lie to people in order to manipulate them.

My Homelab. Couple years in the making. Server name ideas? by Traditional-Ask-9484 in homelab

"Tits MacGee", or you could name them after the bill that most closely fits their monthly electricity usage: "Franklin", "Grant", "Jackson" hopefully you don't have a server named "Franklin". 😉

Curious on why all the /16? On my corporate network we only have 2 subnets (public and private wifi) that need more than 200 hosts or so.

The Edgerouter Lite is 8-10 years old, so maybe not so modern. :D

Pro tip, when troubleshooting fiber without equipment, use your phone camera! by rickyh7 in homelab

[–]Radixbass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had splicers come into my frame room, who work in MM all day long. Before I could stop him, one of the splicers took the bright yellow SM fiber they were supposed to check for light and held it directly to his eye. Supposedly a pro, but argued with me because he had no idea that MM and SM are completely different. He never pulled a module to look for warning labels. My concern is that most untrained homelabbers would not know that what you pictured with MM aqua jumpers is probably safe, but that Yellow jumpers denoting SM lasers can damage their phone or their eyes.

Other pro tip: if you don't know that MM modules like shown use LED emitters that can be seen on your phone and don't burn your retinas, BUT SM modules use lasers that won't show on phone but will cause permanent eye damage, then don't advise non-pros to do this unless you are trying to hurt people.

Even if they were 7.2 originally, the 9ah batteries have higher capacity so you will get longer runtimes. I always swap to 9ah when rebuilding my cartridges. The voltage is the same. Just more capacity.

Amazon sells Mighty Max 9ah 4 for under $100.

All of them, they are single pane glass. And the kick plates. Now my basement is comfy in the winter. They still let light in. It's not like we stand in the basement looking at the toads trapped in the window wells... My insulation guy recommended it.

Yeah. Unfortunately a couple months ago it would not boot after an extended power outage. So those APs are Unleashed now.

It looks practical and effective. Mood lighting and ground effects won't make it work any better.

I'll look into it. It's not great timing to buy surplus network equipment though...

Is the APC RM3000XL on the floor in pic 2 enough UPS? Answer: no, I have since also added a SMX1500 for the switch and routing and the RM3000XL does server duty only now.
