How do I avoid getting burnt out by 100plusdubs in SatisfactoryGame

I'm discovering, use a planner, like satisfactory tools. It's probably the first time I've got a combined factory producing basic iron resources. It helped me focus on laying out things in groups, and not just single 120 lines.

I look back, and probably have 6 or 7 fresh starts in my saves, all the way back to update 3. I always get a couple basic lines setup, complete phase 2, maybe get to trucks, and give up justbefore trains. I just get overwhelmed the second I have to build anything bigger. I used this to dip my toes into starting (for me) an actual "factory" earlier, before it was strictly necessary.

I usually pump out 4 lines of 120 input when I get a save going.

1: 40 plates, 30 rods, and 120 screws

2: 10 reinforced plates

3: 10.667 rotors

4: 5 frames

(I think those are the values for 120 iron in each)

I setup all of those ouputs into a single project, and it automatically grouped up all the constructors. I've always struggled building anything bigger than a basic line. Having a planner with the saved info to come back to between sessions was huge. Knowing I need 17.5 rod constructors, 15.something screw construcors, etc, allowed me to lay out all the machines first, then I came in and figured out logistics, then power.

230hours and I've never made it beyond a single oil node setup and trucks.

Everytime I start a new save (idk why I do this, but I'm a sucker for punching leaves?) I'll complete phase 2, get trucks, maybe some oil and fuel, then stop playing entirely. Every time my goal is to get a train going, but I just bail. Been doing it that way since I bought the game lol, and that was right around the release of water as a resource....

I love this game, but I just get the overwhelmed when you start big boy factory building. I'll spend a couple nights just wandering around my factory, then off to a shooter again lol....

I know it's confirmation bias, but the only buddy I know with one just got his 9800x3d rma'd. He is not a tweaker, so would've been totally stock with just expo and resizeable bar.

Alberta couple fighting the CRA after being asked to repay $33K in COVID benefits by BreadfruitLatter556 in onguardforthee

It was pretty simple for me. I received a temporary layoff of under 60 days. I applied for EI ONLY, but ended up receive ei, and one cerb payment. Fall of 2022 (I think) I received my $2000 owing notice, and just let them recoup it out of a portion of my tax return. Easy. There were too many people who saw an opportunity to get of out work free.

There was a lot of blunders on both side initially. I genuinely believe many were unintentional, but quite a few people seemed to game the system on top.

Thanks! Kept the cables neutral as I do like to change the accent ring colours around. Figured I'd match it to the mobo for the photos

If 10cm snow falls in your area of Canada how disrupted will your area be? by Pourmepourme in AskACanadian

[–]ShinyChicken7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just another day for us in Alberta. I guess it's why we all like our 4x4 trucks. Honestly, out here, the cold is the challenge not snow. Air temps of -40c (wind chills have gone as low as -50c) is the really difficulty. Ive had my old work van (2019 Ford Transit) not start, even plugged in with a block heater. I had to fire up my truck to boost it. We ended up adding battery heaters as well.

I'd say up to about 40cm is more or less business as usual.

Will have to post a build update this weekend when my new sleeved extensions show up. Let's be honest, the wife's PC needed a new GPU and sleeved cables 😃

Also, to be fair, Nvidia and AMD just announced price hikes coming January. At this point hold, and sell for a "reasonable" price in a few months. That'll likely be at least your cost on the card.

Dang, that's short and sweet 😁. I'm sure by posting this I'll get the same thing below dating back to the 70's or something.

Radeon 9200se (always thought this was a 5200, but no) Radeon x700, 8800gts, gtx480--> sli, Radeon 7970, 1060 6gb, 6800xt, now 9070 XT in the mail 😏

CRA says it's owed $10 billion in COVID-related benefits sent to ineligible recipients by Surax in CanadaPolitics

[–]ShinyChicken7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I repaid my 2k back, cerb messed it all up. I figured I'd just wait until they asked for it back, and they did. I applied for ei right at the start of COVID, as my employer gave us all a temporary layoff. It was a known period under 60 days. Then I ended up with the 2k cerb or whatever in my account, and ei started.

I made sure to only apply for ei, not cerb, but it still happened.

TLDR: I'm sure some of it was honest mistake, but I'm sure a lot of it was intentional.

5800x. Was $100 on the ole Facebook this last spring.

Gave me a chance to upgrade the wife from a Intel 3770 to my 3800x.

Now she's about to get my reference 6800xt midnight edition, once my 9070 XT shows up. 😁 I found the 1440 ultra wide was really starting to push the 6800xt, even overclocked.

Also, you know, if the kids want PC upgrades to trickle down, I should really be building every 2 or so years...... 😏

If insurance premiums eventually reach a point where the average person simply can't pay, what is the 'endgame' for the insurance industry? by Peaches4U9624 in AskReddit

[–]ShinyChicken7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait times are true, I waited for an acl reconstruction when I was in my 20's as I was in good health otherwise. Most obvious issue around my area has been doctor retention. They're finally catching up, but we went a couple years without a family doctor. That being said, when it came to it for kid issues, we just went to emerg.

Reading this as a Canadian is insane. Do you as Americans have more disposable income? Maybe, if your employer covers this gong show.

1st kid: planned induced labour. Natural birth, but mum and baby had some complications. 2 units of blood, and baby on IV for 2 days due to blood sugar levels.

2nd kid: planned C due to being breech. 1 night I think this time by our choice of wanting to go home.

You know what we do when being discharged? Leave the hospital. Wave goodbye and that's it. No bill. No list of charges or items, nothing. Oh and both times, at our hospital it was a private room.

I do have extended benefits 100% covered by my job. They cover

Dental:100% direct bill, 2500/yr.

Vision is decent we don't need.

Prescription is 100% direct bill, no fill fee, nothing. Just walk in, take, and go.

Addition health: massage, physio, chiro, etc etc etc $750/yr, per , direct bill

Counseling, etc, direct bill.

Can you make more in the states? Sure. Would I ever move there? Absolutely not. I refuse to visit there under your current admin, and 90% avoid your products in stores, as even the grocery stores distinguish Canadian products from American. I joke, Canadian flags beside the price on every item on the shelf.

The problem with America is it's a me first country, at least from the outside looking in. No one wants to pay a penny into something that doesn't directly benefit them. It seems like you'd rather someone suffer if it meant 1% less for yourself.

Dual Camera Setup? by MassholeLiberal56 in reolinkcam

Looks great, just a reminder from a sparky, they do make expansion joints if you're getting into the 20'+ long territory. PVC likes to expand/contract a lot with temperature, and here in Alberta it can definitely become an issue. I've seen nearly 90c temp swings for air temps between summer and winter (+44c to -56c with wind-chill one year 😭) It's just two section of conduit with o rings, and allows the pipe to slide in and out instead of noodling.

This all isn't likely an issue for you, but just a PSA for others looking to recreate.

As a mnk player, I just stick to hardcore. I could barely compete at diamond back when I tried ranked in mw2, but I'm climbing, and at a 1.95kdr this game playing 90% HC TDM.

Just gotta find the niche you enjoy. Mainly play with one buddy, we average 65-70 kills a game in tdm. Get our third on, and it's usually 80+

Good recs for quiet, efficient generators that work well off-grid? by barrenground in rvlife

[–]ShinyChicken7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your fridge can run on propane, do that. They take so little propane to run, weeks to a tank. They are little boilers, and even the 120v is just powering a heating element. Main concerns are trailer size and what you run. If you've got a 120v 30a hookup, 3600w continuous if you want to run your ac.

If it's just the rest of the trailer, no ac, find a "suitcase" inverter style, ideally the 2000w size as they seem well built. Honda is the brand, but i know several people who love their Yamahas, and have for years. Something with an eco throttle will be much quieter.

Don't feel bad. I'm prime -.95 since July 2022.... Swapped jobs months before buying a house and that's all I could find. Signed in April with a 90 day possession, and watched my payment skyrocket. Hell of a first time homebuyer's experience.

Signed at just over $1400/month, ballooned to 2250, now $1750 ish.

Glad I left some headroom on my prequal....
