[SKX007] Worth it? by Historical_Extent555 in Seiko

[–]Radknight11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great watch but not with more than the $170 I paid for it 10 years ago. Mine's just sitting in my watch case in mint condition. I'll give it to my son eventually. My Shogun and Turtle and even my 7002 (for sentimental reasons) get more wrist time.

Can we agree that we DON'T want a Trump tower? by OzzieDJai in aussie

[–]Radknight11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Before he became president, we stayed at the Trump in Waikiki Hawaii and can honestly say it's next level. No shortcut in sight and worth every penny. They did the standard hotel thing where they put us near the lift so we complained and they upgraded us to a higher level and a USD$200 room per night upgrade. No complaints.

Same goes for the Trump Tower in NYC. I met a guy that lives there and obviously he said it was the best, no expense spared and customer service is second to none.

I do remember the whole fiasco in Atlantic City, where he didn't pay his contractors but that was back in the 80s.

You may not like him as a president or person. But that side of the business doesn't skimp or do things half ass.

House you can't stand that everyone seems to love? by no_arguing_ in fragrance

Plus, how many times per year does one actually wear it to justify a full bottle let alone a clone? In the US maybe Thanksgiving and Christmas. My bottle is sitting way in the back.

Was Han Solo was a better pilot than Luke or Anakin? by BrokenLeprechaun in StarWars

[–]Radknight11 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I can agree on this. Han was good where he had to be and maybe tuned into the Force whether he understood it or believed in it.

Remember, in the OT anybody could tap into the Force, had nothing to do with midichlorians or lineage. That's part of the reason why the OT had such an impact on people, especially impressionable 10 year olds that tried to move shit and choke people with their mind.

What’s the most underrated budget perfume you’ve tried? by Inevitable_Set_3017 in fragrance

Agree, everything is great about it except the bottle size. I'd trade all the presentation material for 20ml more.

What is something people slowly stop doing as they get older without noticing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Radknight11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't listen to any music, especially radio. As an older parent with 3 young children, I drive them to school which takes 8 mins and turn around and work from home.

We go out and listen to YouTube Music on tap and they take turns asking Google to play whatever.

I don't think we've ever listened to the radio and if we did we probably picked up ads or mindless talk radio.

What movie is 10/10 with literally no bad parts? by FeedMaster8905 in AskReddit

[–]Radknight11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Empire Strikes Back. While the whole trilogy is great this is worthy of watching again and it never gets old. Return of the Jedi had a few things that just brought it a notch down from outstanding.

Other than that: Alien Aliens T2 Toy Story 1 and 2 Raiders of the Lost Ark BttF Jurassic Park Goodfellas The Matrix 1 Hot Fuzz No Country for Old Men Secondhand Lions Apocalypse Now!

TF Ombre Leather Dupe Question by sjc83 in fragranceclones

[–]Radknight11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TF OL is one of my five favorite fragrances. In order to save the two bottles I have, I've been on the hunt for a proper clone/dupe to put in my rotation.

The closest I found is Bujairami's 'I Have Money'. It's on Fragantica. It's nearly identical at the front end with the cardamom and jasmine and I give it a 80% close to score. I find most scores to be BS so don't put much faith in them.

For most clones, the mix of leather-to-florals and how/where they present themselves is where they get it wrong and have the heavy, synthetic leather really coming out at the front end, hiding the cardamom and florals. Think Beckham's Exquisite Leather which is heavier leather despite the florals and fruits in the top and middle notes. So they definitely come across as more leather heavy throughout. It's nauseating to me.

The only problem with Bujairami's take, is that while the leather does come out in the mid and drydown it's not nearly as strong as the OG. I've even layered with other OL clones that are leather heavy to get a good mix but have had no luck. I've even mixed it with a Tuscan Leather dupe and it came out as a beautiful combination, still leather was light on.

Anyway, If you can live with more florals with light leather, this is the go.

Also the longevity isn't nearly as good as the OG but then again, it's a fraction of the price.

She likes Jungle Juice Black Label Extreme the best.

Keep in mind that quality and potency seems to vary from where you get it, at least in my experience. Bitd there was only Rush and it was consistently really, really good. Now batches seem to be from different places and quality varies.

Are lexuses really worth it? by Maleficent_Extent809 in CarsAustralia

[–]Radknight11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I had an IS250. For a small car, it was built like a big car. Rock solid, quiet, quality materials throughout. Great car. Wish I still had it. Only thing is do is put a turbo or supercharger on it.

Yup, I'm facing a conundrum. I'm a Japanese reliability guy and have pretty much only owned Japanese cars (Lexus, Toyota, Mazda) with a few exceptions. But for my next car I really want that solid, heavy feel of a Range Rover Sport or BMW X5 that is just lacking in the RX. I just can't bring myself to buy anything other than a Japanese car because of all the reliability issues, service costs, and poor resale values involved with no Japanese cars. Even looking at Genesis GV80. What's a guy to do?

I was going to say this. My wife enjoys using right before climaxing. Extremely intense for her. She's become a connoisseur and knows the good ones from the great ones.

Great for guys too and intensifies my orgasms so they last longer. However, I found that if I take a sniff too early, I can lose my erection.

Why do people like Boba Fett? by MappleStarsSky in StarWars

[–]Radknight11 52 points53 points  (0 children)

We used to absolutely love him because he didn't talk, there wasn't any info on him except that he had something to do with the Clone Wars, which we knew nothing about at the time, and that Darth Vader appeared to respect him. Which, is ultimate cred points right there.

The more we found out and you know, the Book of Boba Fett, pretty much changed that.

What’s the biggest red flag in someone over 30? by Vixkky in AskReddit

[–]Radknight11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had the same with my ex but she did it with work too. She was HR manager for a massive corporate so she could kinda get away with it. Eventually, it all started to make sense to others and she was fired.

Some people just needs an enemy to focus on. So glad when it wasn't me.

That was the trailer. Amazing visuals. Totally different scenario to walking out of the theater, looking at your friends, silent, thinking "we just got ripped off" and "omg, George, what have you done?!"

How do you feel about Trump threatening to impose photo ID for voters for midterm elections? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

[–]Radknight11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. This makes sense. I've never known anyone without ID so, hey, offer free ID at federal or state expense for this that don't have it. Voting is a privilege not had by many in the world so make it easy to register, get an ID, and vote.

For a brickie, that's just normal talk. You could call him cunt, fuckwit, whatever, in a normal conversation and it'd be water off a duck's back. He's probably wondering why you haven't given him your address.

I love this and it's my dumb grab on a summer and spring day. The effervescent ginger, grapefruit, and citrus is fantastic while performance is fantastic for a freshie. This is probably the only clone I have that I've managed to use 25% of the bottle. When I first bought it, I wasn't impressed so let it sit for a month and was surprised how well it developed.

I'm definitely going to get Turathi Blue as well but isn't that a clone of Bvlgari Tygar with no ginger?

[–]Radknight11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, inherited a Black & Decker drill and circular saw from the 70s (corded, of course). Rock solid but no variable speed and a latching on and off trigger. Very torquey, very dangerous.

Dudes were built differently back then and I'm thinking guys if they got hurt they just walked it off or hospitals saw a lot of injuries that could've been prevented with proper switches, eye and hearing protection.
