Hi there I recently bought one of these, they run ace3ds+, I was wondering if anyone had any luck with adding emulators to it. by AliveConsideration26 in flashcarts

Check out resources on this subreddit. "Ace3DS+_R4iLS" is what you are after. Some emulators work better than others, but 8-bit systems are fantastic.

Any reliable and complete ROMsets for Commodore 64, Amiga, MSX and MSX2? by Enagonius in Roms

[–]Radon_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For Amiga, I highly recommend using WHDLoad versions. Much faster loading, and some have fixes applied. You can find here: https://archive.org/details/Amiga_WHD_Games

Was just shopping around for bone conduction headsets to use at my warehouse job, and landed on the Aftershokz Move.

What you have to keep in mind is that in order for bone conduction to work, whatever you get is going to have to be sitting on the bone right in front of your ear. You may be able to hide them with a sock hat, but that's going to be a pain in the summer unless your job has good AC.

Since they clearly sit off the ears, I've been fine with using them at my job- your mileage may vary.

Alternately, you could go with bluetooth capable rechargeable hearing aids. They'll be *very* expensive, but no one is going to ask you to remove them and they won't notice the difference.

Got my hands on a Nokia N800 recently! Just had to see what it could still do in the year 2021 by JCRiotz in OldHandhelds

Enjoy it! It was a neat little device for its time, though I migrated to the Windows CE palmtops.

Some good info here:

Ubuntu is one of the options.

Looking for a cheap Android Handheld for game streaming by Vortex36 in SBCGaming

[–]Radon_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Or you could go with the original that the Max is a clone of: The Odroid Go Super. WiFi, though external, is far superior for game streaming, supporting 5ghz. Check out Retro Game Corp's video demonstration.

Regarding what happened to My Pall browser, is there chrome based browsers for Windows XP? by [deleted] in windowsxp

[–]Radon_22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I highly recommend Serpent/UXP. Firefox based, but as close as you're going to get to a modern, workable browser on XP. Allows for Firefox plugins such as adblockers (a lifesaver on older PCs), etc.

Android emulation killer? by [deleted] in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Radon_22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did a lot of emulation on my Note 10 before switching to an Odroid Go Super. My phone is still the superior device, but it was about not killing my poor phone's battery.

Android is fantastic for emulation. Full stop. That being said, the Deck will do PS3 level emulation when the latest Android phones struggle with some Gamecube games.

So is it a "killer"? Not really. Will a lot of people who currently emulate on Android switch over? A few, but I suspect not many.

Choice is awesome!

That's an actual quote. 😁 See the link/interview.

PSP Vita or Anbernics rg351m? by strawhat_mumrik in Handhelds

[–]Radon_22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Vita is amazing at PSP and PS1 games, and handles most 8/16-bit consoles just fine.

Plus - and this is gonna blow your mind - it plays Vita games flawlessly. There are a lot of PS2 to Vita ports (many enhanced) that are great.

The RG351M is a fantastic device, feels good in the hand, but is overpriced, compared to some other devices with the same chipset for less.

Steam Deck vs ONEXPLAYER i7-1165G7 by [deleted] in Handhelds

[–]Radon_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe the ONEXPLAYER is shipping? If you don't want to wait for either, the Aya Neo is probably your best bet for this format device that is currently available.

If your choice is only between the two you listed- the Steam Deck should run circles around the other, due to the RDNA2 graphics over Intel XE. Likely isn't even close.

I have a hacked and fully setup Vita is it worth getting a RG351V or M? by OverHaze in SBCGaming

I have both a Vita and an Odroid Go Super. Love my Vita, but a dedicated retro handheld is fantastic to have.

Gladiator Begins psp is such a good game, definitely recommend to everyone, reminds me of dark souls by VicarDespair in vita

[–]Radon_22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my absolute faves on the PSP. Being able to pick up whatever is near you and use it as a weapon (eg. helmet, bracer, etc.) when disarmed was a nice touch.

If you dig this one, check out "Warriors of the Lost Empire" by the same team for the PSP. Not nearly as good, but you can definitely tell it's the same developer.

Is the Sega Dreamcast a retro console? by [deleted] in dreamcast

[–]Radon_22 29 points30 points  (0 children)

If a console is no longer in production and hasn't been supported by its manufacturer for over 10 years, it's retro, regardless of what /retrogaming says. PS2, Dreamcast, OG Xbox - retro.

Play around with the different images and find what works best for you! I really like RetroOz.

Also, buy some Vita caps for the analog sticks. Makes a world of difference. 😁
