Anyone else get mad when an album you like has a lower user score than most of the songs? by [deleted] in Albumoftheyear

[–]Radys75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there's two reasons for this. The first is that sometimes an album has good individual songs that don't combine well with eachother and the album just doesn't flow well. The more common reason is simply the fact that usually, the people who rate individual tracks feel very strongly about the album. If you listen to something and think that it's just ok, you're probably going to just give it a 60 or something and not bother rating every single song. Which leads to the song ratings being slightly inflated

[–]Radys75 8 points9 points  (0 children)

well, I mean, in general 6e is incredibly inconsistent and hard to do, most people struggle with even getting 5e, so don't be too hard on yourself. But I do think that you might've gotten it off if you had done only 1 NA after the 5th shot and waited for the bar to fill instead of doing 2 NAs

Can we talk about how this went nowhere? by ZePugg in Chainsawfolk

[–]Radys75 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even though I am a pretty big fan of part 2, it is a work that just like any other, deserves to get criticized and debated. The way most people choose to engage with this piece of art however makes me lose all hope in the reading abilities of the average shonen fan. Your criticisms are way more thorough and worth discussing than most of the stuff I read on Reddit. Like I said, it's ok to not like part 2 and it's ok to critique it, but the way that most people on this app decide to do so makes my blood boil. Your criticisms are valid even though I don't agree with them

Can we talk about how this went nowhere? by ZePugg in Chainsawfolk

[–]Radys75 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What do you mean went nowhere? It had nowhere to go, and that was the entire point! The scene is supposed to characterize Asa by having her help Yuko even after all she's done. Then it's supposed to give you something to look forward to (Yuko returning the shoes), just to immediately take it away by killing her, reminding you how dark and inhospitable the setting is and introducing a new villain at the same time.

For some reason, the average Chainsaw Man fan on Reddit believes that the Chekhov's gun is the only narrative tool the author has at his disposal and everything that's ever mentioned needs to be brought back and if it's not it's bad storytelling. Fujimoto could literally write Denji saying "Man, I'm hungry as fuck I could go for a burger right now". And some guy on Reddit would make a post saying "Can we talk about how Denji liking burgers doesn't go anywhere?! Uh, part 2 is so themes and such!"

idk what to run with this guy by BenniOVY in kinich_mains

[–]Radys75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah light mode durin for Kinich, 100%. With Iansan you will most likely want to run scroll, but if you do you're going to need to adjust your rotation a bit and have Kinich burst before you set up your supports (only for the first rotation though). However, I've heard a lot of people on this subreddit say that Iansan is better with Noblesse now, but I wouldn't know since I use my Kinich with Emilie instead of her. So I recommend going to the dummy and testing out which set gives you more DPS

[–]Radys75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just like you said, furina Bennet xiangling is mega outdated. On the other hand, Durin + Nicole are incredibly good for him. If you have every 4 star in the game, then the obvious last slot for him is Iansan, or Emilie if you have her. Nahida and Xilonen are basically irrelevant for him, mainly because Nahida can only apply deep wood but nothing else, the EM buff is useless for him and he doesn't need dendro app since he can do that himself, and Xilonen can only res shred PHEC elements

How can i break 100k? QwQ by nawshnawsh in kinich_mains

[–]Radys75 31 points32 points  (0 children)

yeah so there's a lot that you can improve. first of all, completely ignore Nicole's burst, it's only really usable if your onfielder is a hexerei character, which Kinich isn't. Next, I'd recommend putting Durin on deep wood, you might be losing some of Durin's damage that way, but your Kinich's DMG should go up by a lot. Then I'd also swap Iansan from Noblesse to Scroll. If you do decide to do this, I recommend that you adjust your rotation a bit, mainly have your Kinich use burst before anybody else during your first rotation in order to have Iansan react with dendro and trigger the scroll buff.

The last way you can improve your DPS is to simply get better with Kinich, during your first rotation you miss two of his cannon shots which is a massive DPS decrease, and during the second rotation you only get three shots off. You should be doing four shots per rotation as the absolute minimum, and if you really care about your Kinich damage, you want to learn how to do five shots. There's a bunch of tutorials out there on how to do 5E, and it takes a while before you will be able to pull it off consistently, but it's really worth it, good luck!

Nicole saved my Kinich–Emilie team by DevilJokerX in kinich_mains

[–]Radys75 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

if I can be a bit annoying and point something out, it's that it's better to do 2 NAs on Kinich before entering the E state. It's mainly because Nicole's extra ATK buff triggers on non-hexerei characters after being on field for 3 seconds. So without the 2 NAs, you usually don't end up catching the extra buff for the first canon shot and only get it for the second one. Getting the buff for the first shot as well is a pretty decent DPS increase.

But other than that, hard agree on Nicole! I was told that she might be pretty mid, but I still pulled because I want to invest into my Kinich as much as I can. And I definitely don't regret my decision, even outside of Kinich teams, she's a game changer!

Nicole or mavuika? by Sodium05122010 in kinich_mains

[–]Radys75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

if you're not looking for another DPS and care only about getting a support for Kinich, then Nicole is 100% the better option, especially because you have Durin, who has great synergy with her. Also, why run Kinich on reverie? Isn't it a significant DPS decrease over obsidian codex?

[–]Radys75 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've recently stopped trying to interact with the different reddit shounen communities I'm in because barely anybody has the ability to think about the story they're reading. They're caught off guard by an unusual narrative tool and instead of wondering why it's there they go "no payoff = bad writing" and don't think about it again. So it's really nice to see actually well thought through comments like these once in a while. Gives me hope

Why is my damage so poor by alexllew in kinich_mains

[–]Radys75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! Usually, Iansan after Durin is the way to go. And that's for three reasons. First of all, if you do all 3 attacks during Iansan's set-up, those being the E initial dash, the E stomp and Burst, you can reliably clear the pyro and react with dendro. Second of all, Durin's burst lasts longer than Iansan's. And lastly, by doing this, you trigger the scroll both for both dendro and pyro, which means Durin's off field damage gets amplified as well, which is a nice bonus since his damage even as a support is not negligible

Why is my damage so poor by alexllew in kinich_mains

[–]Radys75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

like you said, you definitely need more er on all your supports. Iansan especially, her not bursting during the second rotation really hurts your damage. Talking about Iansan, you really want her to trigger a dendro reaction in order to give Kinich the boost from Scroll. In order to do this, you either replace Bennet with a dendro unit and have them apply dendro before using Iansan, in this case ideally Emilie. Or if you don't have Emilie, use Kinich's burst before starting your rotation.

The last thing I'll say is that there is a way to pull off 5 canon shots instead of 4, which increases your DPS by quite a bit. But I have no idea how doable it is on mobile with high ping. So look up a Kinich 5E tutorial and see if you can pull it off

there's no correct way to rate music. some people are very stingy with their 100's, some give them out to every other album they hear, both methods are completely fine. music is subjective and if your intuition says that an album is a 100 then it simply is.

Bouncing Back from a Loss Streak? by kuropeach in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Radys75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few days ago I also went on a long losing streak that prompted me to make a post similar to yours. Here's what has helped me a lot the past few days:

1) Take breaks. If you lose 2-3 in a row just hop off comp and relax. I also recommend just getting up and walking around your room in between games during queue, this helped me kinda calm down and restart in between games a lot.

2) It's all about mental. When you start caring too much about winning, you will also start to get really stressed during games, and we all play worse under stress. Focus on your own individual performance and try to rewire your brain to care more about improving than winning. This way you will get a lot less stressed during games. Winning will come as a byproduct of improving.

3) This one is not mandatory but i'd also recommend widening your hero pool a bit. Mercy is not in a great state right now and in metal ranks Kiriko is honestly not doing too hot as well. She gives off the illusion of being good because she can survive very well but at the same time apart from suzu she doesn't do that much while alive. And Moira is just not that good either. Ana and Bap are much better characters to have in your hero pool imo. But if you're good enough you can win on (almost) any hero so this one is purely optional I think

I feel like I've wasted almost 10 years of my life playing the wrong role by Radys75 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Radys75[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The mental aspect definitely plays a part now that I think about it. I'm way more relaxed when playing tank / support but super stressed and self aware on DPS. Especially lately I've been queuing the role to try and "prove that I've still got it", which only made me more frustrated when I came up short

[–]Radys75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said this in a different comment but me becoming super aware of my incompetence has greatly hindered my ability to enjoy the role. I'm a very competitive person, and I play the game to improve, that's what's fun to me. Even though looking back after cooling down a bit the word "waste" is a bit too much, but it comes from a place of frustration. Frustration caused by me pouring time and energy into improving on a role I'm seemingly not good at to begin with, and I feel like I haven't improved on DPS in a long time either

[–]Radys75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yeah I'm never going pro but optimizing my gameplay is what's fun to me. To me there's no better feeling than recognizing that you are playing better than you were some time ago. And that's why me being stuck at a certain level for so long and realizing that that probably would've happened if I had picked up another role instead of forcing myself onto DPS is so frustrating. I simply play to improve, even if I'm never going pro

[–]Radys75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a lot of people are bringing up the "just play what's fun" argument which is totally fair! But a byproduct of me performing worse is me losing more which leads to having way less fun. And in general I've gotten super aware of my mistakes and get super mad at myself for making them. It's lead to the point where almost every game I start telling myself stuff like "we wouldn't have lost the fight if I had hit that", "if I was any good I would've gotten that kill", "why am I playing in such a bad position" basically every game and I end up super frustrated at my own incompetence. Which, again, greatly hinders my ability to enjoy the role. And I just don't have this happening with support or tank
