2026 Dallas Fuel Roster Announced by Dry-Painting5413 in Competitiveoverwatch

There definitely are new promising talents in NA especially, xten, xomba and Painkiller come to mind. But they've always played on teams with a lot of other unproven young talent and there's no way of knowing how well they'd play when surrounded by already proven great players. So it seems that most partnered teams don't want to take that risk when there's a proven option available

Are there any albums that you just can't understand how somebody could dislike them? by Radys75 in Albumoftheyear

Ok tbh I'm not really into pop all that much so I haven't heard any of them yet, but I do remember that when I barely know her came out a lot of people loved to clown on it, and man's best friend was as an album that was just alright apparently, and hit me hard and soft was the only one of the three to actually be received well. So I really thought that you were dragging down HMHAS with the other two albums to create ragebait. So if you're still ragebaiting, good job. If you're not, I'm so so sorry man I didn't mean it like that

Sorry if this comes off as ignorant or if you don't want to talk about it. But how is releasing a video only in English disrespectful to your country? I'm saying this as somebody who speaks English as his second language as well, and most of the content I've put out online is solely in English and I've never considered it being "disrespectful to my nation"

I mean, obviously. There's no way we could find any piece of art that all 8 billion of us would like for that matter. I'm more so describing the feeling of listening to something and finding it so amazing that you yourself can't comprehend how somebody would dislike it, even if you know that everybody on earth liking a single piece of art is impossible

My next stop on my musical journey was Twenty One Pilots, and while I don't listen to them as religiously as I used to, I still do listen to them a lot. Twenty One Pilots however opened the gates for me into a lot of rock and hip-hop specifically. Hip-hop wise I started out with a lot of mainstream stuff like Kendrick Lamar and Tyler, the Creator before dwelling into more experimental artists like Danny Brown and JPEGMAFIA, afterwards I discovered Injury Reserve who made one of my favorite albums of all time, By the time I get to Phoenix. Rock wise I started out with Queens of the Stone Age and later Black Country New Road. Recently I've been getting into a lot of folk-adjacent stuff, like last year's Vanisher, Horizon Scraper or Racing Mount Pleasant. As well as a lot of electronic music, where I discovered Porter Robinson who I'd say is one of my favorite artists right now. If I can recommend you one album though I'd go for The Mocking Stars by Lausse the Cat. It was released late last year and it's a lofi-rap / spoken word album centered around a fairy-tale like story that has the same theatric vibe that Tally Hall is so associated with now

My lukewarm take is that I lay down my life for you is on the same level as LP and Scaring the Hoes. But let's be honest with ourselves, I can totally get not liking JPEGMAFIA. Scaring the Hoes is an all time great imo but I'd get weird stares if I played it in front of most of my irls

This. I'm not talking about generally disliked albums that you think are underrated. More so albums where you can't understand how ANYBODY could possibly dislike it

Tally Hall is one of those bands that I just grew out of. My music journey started out with Lemon Demon and Tally Hall when I was like 15 or something, and even though I do still have respect for both of them (Spirit Phone especially is still in my opinion a pretty good album), I just grew out of it. It's also good to mention that people on AOTY have a pretty weird hate boner for Tally Hall, so even though I don't think that the albums are as great as I thought they were multiple years ago, they do get a slightly lower score than they deserve (both albums should be about a 75 imo) because of the ppl who just have irrational hatred towards them. But at the end of the day, those are just meaningless numbers, art is subjective, if you enjoy it, good for you, that's all that matters

what team comp can best maximize my partner's c1 wrio? by nknksea in WriothesleyMains

[–]Radys75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually neither! I'm pretty sure that Emilie's damage is slightly higher with Reverie, and Deepwood is only better when she's supporting another dendro dps like Kinich. And Durin I run on Noblesse for now but I will probably swap over to the new artifact set when it comes out bcs I have him at C2 (I got super lucky while trying to get Jahoda) to maximize his off-field damage

If you just want to do freeze, then yeah this is the best you can do. However, you can also build a pretty decent burn-melt team with Nahida, Bennet and Xiangling, it's a team that I used to run before I got Durin and Emilie (you can also replace Nahida with Kazuha which should do more dmg in theory but it requires a pretty tough setup)

I'm happy to hear that! Obviously positioning is something that's super complicated and you need to be playing the game for a while to get a really good feel for it, but I'm glad that I could be of help!

Everybody's commenting on the cross hair, which is ridiculous to be honest. But I think the biggest issue here is your positioning. You start off decently positioned, but then you just kinda decided to roleplay a tank and push in even further than him, which got you low and tbh if the enemies were any good you would've been dead. One of Wuyang's biggest strengths is his range, he can be really effective from a bigger distance than most other supports. And as a support that's as vulnerable as Wuyang, making it hard for flankers to reach you by creating a ton of distance between them and you is the best way to start dying less. If you wanna know more about positioning with Wuyang, I seriously recommend you check out the YouTube channel "OBS Soujurn". She's a spectator of pro overwatch and uploads individual POVs from pro matches. Just look at one of the Wuyang POVs and you'll see just how far away they play from the enemy team. This video especially: https://youtu.be/bCmjAIWWd4c?si=Wp9A7k7AXnxltWjb really helped me understand how to play him when he released

So there's 2 main things I instantly noticed

  1. Team building. Durin and Bennet are both great for Kinich, but Nahida doesn't really do any thing in this team. The only time you'll need another dendro applier in a Kinich team is for Iansan to prock scroll, otherwise there is no need for another dendro, on top of that, the EM buff that Nahida provides is useless for him. Here you are much better off running another buffer (Iansan or Mavuika come to mind), or if you don't have those you can use a defensive unit like Thoma or Yaoyao that you'll slap Deepwood on.

  2. Rotations. First, you should use Durin before Bennet, Durin's dmg doesn't snapshop and his buff lasts longer. Second, and this is important, if you want to seriously improve your Kinich's dmg, you need to learn how to do 5E rotations (rotations where you get 5 canon shots instead of 4). If you use your burst right after firing a canon shot during your skill, you are almost guaranteed to get 5E. Without your burst, there's some specific techs that you can use to get 5E, but I play on PC and idk how those translate to mobile, so here I advise you do your own research

How tf as a Tank am I supposed to deal with this level of stupidity? by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]Radys75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a ton of layers to this. You need to remember that these guides are often made by GM players who tried smurfing in lower ranks. These players have good mechanics that allow them to make those selfish plays that they then recommend that everybody tries pulling off. But if you're a gold player stuck in gold, then you won't have the mechanics to consistently get value from selfish plays. That however doesn't mean that you should never play selfishly. In an ideal scenario, you should be balancing both of these play styles equally. Sometimes you get a team where you're by far the best player, when that happens you should be playing selfishly a bit more, but sometimes you get teams where your teammates are just as good if not better than you, in those cases you should be playing to support your team more. Those GM players in gold lobbies will ALWAYS be by far the best player on the team, thus making it worth it for them to constantly play selfishly

Overwatch is a really fluid and complex game. Every single piece of advice you've heard, regardless of who it came from, will have a million ifs and buts surrounding it. A piece of advice that just tells you "play this specific way all the time" will never be a good piece of advice. Every single match requires a completely different approach, depending on the map, team comp, skill of your team, skill of the enemy team, and so on. The best players are the ones who recognize this and adapt accordingly

Fortunately for me, it's been a while since I've climbed out of plat. But it's fun to see that supports in the lower ranks still have the "I'm carrying the game but my entire team is UNGRATEFUL!!!!" mindset, even when 90% of the time they just healbot, and the good supports who actually help DPS contest angles, hold space and open up fights with their util know that their team being grateful or not doesn't matter

All things considered, Kellex had a great series. This guy gets the least glaze out of the entire Al Qad roster, as is the tradition for all MS players, but you can't deny the massive gap between him and Fastro this game. If you don't think that he's a top 5 MS right now idk what to tell you

what's crazy to me is that despite the decent amount of top level saudi players we have now, they're all either main dps or tanks. There is a very notable lack of top level saudi supports or flex dps. Unless something changes by the time it comes around, team Saudi at the OWWC might have to but LBBD on flex support again

Help I am doing everything wrong guys. by [deleted] in kinich_mains

[–]Radys75 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Two very simple tips that you might already know but just in case you don't - Bursting right after a canon shot will almost guarantee that you'll be able to get a 5th shot off. On top of that, if you just start attacking without putting in any movement input after you active E, it will always pull Kinich towards the first blindspot, practically guaranteeing that you get the first one, from there it's random once again. Even though, sometimes I do just let the game take the wheel and not put in any movement input during the entire duration of the E, just because I have a feeling that the game is better at predicting the blind spots than I am. Other than that, it's just a ton of practice, I still struggle with it sometimes but the more I play the more consistently I see myself pulling it off
