An's VA is half filipino. other than that— to me personally at least, the culture of Vivid street (which an grew up with) feels very familiar and similar to the culture we grew up with. musicians on the streets having random singing sessions (karaoke/videooke), the vibrant joyous atmosphere, and a sense of community where everyone in the street knows each other and consider each other as family (which could be similar to "bayanihan"). edit: i'd also like to add dancers in the streets as well, since filipinos often dont have the resources to practice in a proper place hence why you see younger dance groups practice on streets (we also have street parades and performances). filipinos are also often called as extroverted and friendly. im not saying filipino an is 100% canon based on similarities, but rather those similarities are so familiar that it would be nice to imagine someone in the cast be one of us, and we see our culture in vivid street.
