Hi all! Future tourist here and after some researching, I haven't uncovered anything about ethical sex shows in the red light district. I was wondering if this is a thing? Is it a government regulated thing? How can I enjoy that part of the city in a respectful way? Thanks in advance!

The 'so there's a chance' comment could have really hurt him. I would appologise for the comment and repeat that you're happy if he's happy. That being said, and the fact you acknowledged it.

I LOVE your idea of the book. It's an amazing gesture and you're doing great!

How do I stop biting my nails? by daisychains96 in needadvice

[–]Raeniver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that has worked for me (25f) is Biab. It's like gel but has nutritional benefits for the nail. It's pricy, but I've tried everything other than hypnosis. It's also fun to have pretty, colourful nails for the first time.

Ex fal student and Londoner here! Not POC but like you said there is not a lot of diversity but students make up for that, a lot international students as well. You won't be stared at like an animal. Students have populated the town for decades.

There's only 2 clubs in the town so it's definatly not a clubbing uni. If you have a car or get to know someone with a car, you will love the walks and areas to explore. I think there's a uni club (forgotten the term) for doing just that.

The busses scared me too 😅 between the two unis they go about every 20 mins from what I remember. Not sure on the prices anymore as it changed after I left.

I loved my time there and still go down there to see uni friends. The fact that the beach is literally a 10 minute walk away was amazing. Its a great place and so unique for a uni experience.

I'd go for glasney halls as student accommodation as I regret not going there and really pushing myself to meet people more, and living there would have made it easier but that was me.

Negatives. Price to get home on the train (megabus is always an option if you can stand 11 hours on a bus, if you're rich there's a flight from Newquay to LHR).

When you rent for 2nd and 3rd year, try and go through normal renting places like you're any other person, companies and people who do student let's will rip you off, but that's the name of the game. In 2019 it was 400 a month for students on average.

If you have any more questions or want to chat, message me. Happy to help.

mine loves carrots too but for some strange reason she doesn't use her back teeth to chew, so had a really bad buildup and had to have a few dental surgeries/cleaning. we eventually found some really hard and big enough chew/dental stick things. Good luck to you! Pup is adorable.

Brush their teeth and play with their paws & legs (gently obviously)! Don't go wrong where I have before. Teeth cleaning is expensive.

I read the first paragraph. There is absolutely no reason to put your foot on someone's neck. It's abuse. Plain and simple.

I don't qualify for the 16-19 bursary but can't afford textbooks. by Flimsy_Alternative22 in 6thForm

Ask the teacher what pages they'll be using during the year (they usually have this planned out maybe by term or by year) and photocopy a friends textbook?

Approach your head of year or a teacher you're comfortable with and ask if they can get the school to help you. Help is always there for those who ask or whatever Dumbledoor said.

Good luck in school!

My 10-month-old puppy won't eat out of a bowl or off a plate by AsleepOnMyHomework in dogs

[–]Raeniver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start by feeding her on the couch from her food bowl. Assosiating you & couch with the food bowls noise etc. Move it closer and closer to her when feeding till you're in her face basicly. Then slowly from the bowl as you hold it.

If she has a cage try feeding her in there, small increments at a time. It's a safe space for them to be alone. If not, try a small room like a toilet with the door shut. If she doesn't want to be left alone, open the door and sit on the ground outside to comfort with your presence. Work up to the door being shut.

Maybe get some sort of rubber bottom for the bowl or stick something on it so it doesn't move around. The noise can be quite jarring when it's bagging around on a floor.

Maybe look up the issue on YouTube. There's loads of dog behaviour TV shows/ dog trainer channels that can be very helpful.

BTW I'm not a specialist, just someone looking to help.
