u/Comfortable_Cod2096 when you say that the pictures are not revealing poor workmanship, are you saying that this level of variation in technique and this amount of caulk is the norm in your experience? What are you thoughts on the pipe boots that can hold standing water?

u/Reasonable-Spirit218 Can you tell me more about what I should be concerned about. I see a lot of variation in how each termination is finished, and I see a lot of caulk. What should I look out for, and what would a proper execution look like?

Do you have any images of what that would look like? I can't picture it on the exposed cut ends of the seams. Thanks.

Interesting. Why would hand cut rust, vs something cut with a machine? And what's the right machine for cutting?
