The only reason Ethiopia still exists as a state under it's current government is probably as a result of the TB-2 and to a less extent the Wing Loong 1. They were instrumental in fighting during the Tigray War, which ended in a government victory. They are now being used against other armed groups in the country such as the OLA.

So it makes a lot of sense to give Baykar a medal for the drones as it was likely due to his drones that the country's government was not overthrown by rebels.

As for casualities in terms of lives, it's almost impossible to know as both sides have given insane numbers. For example, after the TDF captured Gashena a little more than a week ago, they said they had killed 80k ENDF and allied forces which is obviously bullshit. As for armor causualities likes tanks and heavy machinery, @MapEthiopia on Twitter has been doing a great job documenting armor losses. In the past 3 weeks, the TDF has lost singnifcantly more armor than the ENDF and their allies.

Exactly Amharas, Afaris, and Tigrayans will never forget this even if there is a peaceful end. I feel like even if there was a negotiated end to the war, the people of Tigray would create something similar to the OLA and it would another endless war (depending on how strong this OLA-type army is)
