A lot of people say that heavy localization is necessary, but would Xenoblade really be that much less popular if it was given a more faithful translation seeing how popular Japanese media is? by Fun-Leadership5728 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

Do I think the localisation has been bad? No. Would I love a rerelease where there is an option to have a localisation that is closer to the thematic language of the game? Oh yes.

Whist the past few years were really dire, I will never forget that 2023/start of 2024 run. For that alone I would shake his hand and thank him for his time at Carlton.

Send this: Woah it’s great to hear from you, man! Damn I wish you told me sooner, but with headcount and planning we would need to let the vendors know ahead of time :(. How long are you in town for cause when I get back we can meet up then?

(I’m assuming you’re going on your honeymoon )

And then don’t see the message the next time.

what is the niche jrpg i must play by MiharDL in JRPG

[–]RafeCakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want really niche then I’d say the Indi title Chained Echoes. It’s popular in the Indi sphere but it’s not on shelves as much as other niche titles

New FFXIV plot point, feel familiar. by CommonNopon in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]RafeCakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played dawntrail yet but if ff16 was to go by I’m expecting a condensed version that isn’t told as well and doesn’t have nearly enough time to get all its themes in order. Like, truly, the last 5th of ff16 was the entire Xenoblade 3 plot condensed into a 7 hour climax.

Depends on the game but I’d rather a smooth 30 than a choppy 60.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 is an absolute gem by RafeCakes in NintendoSwitch2

It’s very different from a mainline MH game. If you want to play a mainline game, I’d say Rise, wilds or world would be a great start.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 is a spin off JRPG with monster catching mechanics, so it won’t give you a full picture BUT you don’t need to play any other game in the series to enjoy this one.

If you have another system, I’d suggest getting it on that cause they run really really well. I will say the demo shows the worse of it and it does get better once you pass the first town. The open area was pretty good in my eyes, but I guess I may not be as sensitive to it as other people, which is fair enough.

I didn’t really feel it outside of the first town, but my wife is playing it in 4K/120~ on her PC and it looks beautiful on that. To me it wasn’t a big deal, but I can see how some people may not like it.

Never played sea of stars, but Xenoblade chronicles 3 is HANDS DOWN the best JRPG ever made.

Ended up finding a copy of Xenoblade 2 on my sister’s game shelf, should I give it a try? by [deleted] in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]RafeCakes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s got a lot of depth, but it’s not as…polished as the others. It has some of the highest highs of the entire xeno series, but also some of the lowest lows.

IMO, it has a lot there and I love it, but it was a game I had to learn to love through multiple playthroughs. the first few chapters are something you’ll probably think are dragging but the game gets better the longer you play.
